Hello friend, There are N number of career opportunities available for you once you have completed B.Sc in Zoology but then it strongly depends upon you interest also that in which field you want to go. Some Major career opportunity available for you is - In Your field : - 1. PG Degree in Zoology 2. If you have interest in teaching field then you can go for B.Ed in Zoology 3. If you want to go one step further then your degree also makes you eligible for NET/SET exam. 4 You can also start working as researcher, Lab Technician, also in some plant nursery as an assistant. Outside your field: - There are many choices available for you outside your field as well, the major ones are - 1. SSC Exam (Combined Graduate Level) 2. UPSC IAS/IPS exam 3. MBA 4. Law 5. Re: Career after BSc in Zoology? The Candidate should have passed the B.Sc. Degree examination with Physics, Chemistry, Botany or Zoology as the main subject or the B.Sc. Degree in Home Science or the B.Sc. Degree in Home Science or the B.Sc. Degree in Microbiology or the B.Sc. Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. Many universities have eligibility condition of minimum 60% aggregate marks and you need to clear your entrance exams. You can also get a job with a government agency, teaching job, a lab, a museum, a university, a non profit, or an environmental consultant firm with your Bsc degree. Re: Career after BSc in Zoology? dear friend, After completion of B.Sc in zoology stream you can go for courses like- 1.M.Sc in the same subject or, M.Sc in any other science subject. 2.MBA- If you have interest in managemnet field then you can go for MBA course. 3.MCA-If you have maths in 12th and you have interest in computers then you can go for MCA course. You can go for any of these course. If you want to go for jobs then you can apply for jobs like- 1.BANK PO 2.Defense service 3.UPSC Civil service exam So, go for it.. All the best.. |

It depends on what you want to do doesn't it, the most common thing to do is to get a Msc. degree in a related field or apply for internships or jobs to get some hands on experience before going on to do your Msc. or Phd. I have just finished a Bsc. in Marine Biology and Zoology, however as I had the great oppurtunity to get an internship at a very well recognised marine lab, I am postponing an Msc. to next year so I can get some relevant 'hands-on' work experience. I intend to get a Msc. in a conservation related subject and since the course I have my eye on has very high entry requirements, I figured it wouldn't do any harm to postpone it a year and apply then with more experience which could increase my chances of being accepted. A friend of mine is going to finish her Bsc. in Marine Bio next year and hse has decided it's not for her after all so she is going to apply to an Msc. in Forensic Anthropology instead. Other people I know are taking some time off, finding an unrelated job for the meanwhile to think about their next step, it is really a very individual choice. Find out for yourself what it is you are interested in and then figure out the best path to get there. Good Luck
