Re: How to get a government job after completing diploma in mechanical engineering? You can apply for jobs in certain government departments after completing your Diploma in engineering. You can apply for the clerical positions in nationalized banks as per the number of vacancies which are available. The selection will be based on written test and personal interview. Also the opportunities will exist in defense sector mainly in the Indian navy and air force. Opportunities also exist in railways and certain public sector companies. It is possible to secure higher job positions in the government departments after completion graduation which can be done through the lateral entry scheme. |

The Mechanical engineering graduates have plenty of jobs in both private and public sectors.To get government job you should have qualification as 1.Graduation or degree in any recognised university. 2.Minimum 55% aggregate is required for government jobs. 3.The min and max age limit for govt jobs is 18-30 years. The mechanical graduates may for the following govt jobs are Bank jobs,Railway jobs,UPSC jobs,Defence jobs,Air force,NTPC,ISRO,OIL,APGENCO and Army jobs etc. You can search the jobs from the websites like www.freejobaldr.com or read the employment newspaper once in a week. |

Dear Aspirant, If you want to go Technical Side then you can appLY in ::: BEL BHEL IOCL ONGC SAIL GAIL THESE are the most reputed govt companies...... Hello dear, if you complete your diploma in mechanical engineering then you should do bachelor degree in mechanical because in diploma you get knowledge about mechanical branch so it helps you in bachelor's degree..... This will help you to enter directly into the 2nd year of your graduation. In your diploma you learn a lot of things related to mechanics,physics....if you get enter in a new stream then you face problems....so then why to join other stream?? If at all you are interested in other jobsthen you can go for lateral entry scheme is only meant for the diploma holders and you can then fill up the forms for various psu exams .you can go for merchant navy afterward which offer salary and job offer you love it if you like sea .. Following are some of the govt sectors which look in for mechanical graduates are – railway ntpc indian army civil services bhel etc. For appearing for civil service examination, there is no fixed percentage of marks criteria as it require candidates who are graduates from any stream. Civil and defence services. You can join nationalized banks as specialist manager , this sector is fast growing. Choose wisely.. Best wishes.. |
