Jobs, MBA, PhD? hello .. i have done 2 in medical in 2010 from jalandhar .. and have interest in bio subjects . due to my poor health i could not pursue my studies and had to drop a year. my parents are not willing to send me out of the city to pursue my studies in genetics . so all i am left with is to continue my studies in jalandhar only . i'm totally confused and i need a suggestion that what should i opt for now ?? my parents also want me to change my line to commerce or arts .. ?? is it worthwhile ?? |

Good evening, This is NANCY ROBINSON i am presently doing B.Sc. in INDUSTRIAL MICROBIOLOGY from Patna University and i am confused whether to opt for M.Sc. or MBA IN BIOTECHNOLOGY for better job opportunities. Career opportunities for both these courses are good. After doing MSc. Microbiology or Biotech, one can join R&D dept. of any good Biotech company. US is the best destination for Biotechnology. HELLO,it's totally depends no you that how garnish your future.moreover MICROBIOLOGY is progressing fastly in country.after B.Sc. you can take CBEE(combined biotechnology entrance exam) conducted by JNU for top 28 universities in india including JNU.after selection you can complete your post graduation degree from the renowned & prestigious universities,chosing life science/human genomics/industrial microbiology/bacteriology for your master degree.there is an nice opportunities for industrial microbiogist to get good packages as their demands is increasing day to day.for more information about exam logon at www.jnu.ac.in if you are interested for MBA it's nice for your carrier & you will be able to get remarkabale packages after completing MBA,you can take CAT(common admission test) to get your master degree from top business institutes in india. Look..as you said you are interested in bacteriology & pathology, then I think you should go for M.Sc. in Microbiology, and if you don't want to do PhD then don't go for it you can get a good job after M.Sc. also.. But first focus on your studies and score good marks..all the best for your future..

MBA is a management course. job opportunity is very high and also salary package is very high. after your graduation you may take admission for MBA in a reputed institution. but as you are a student of microbiology so i will suggest you to go with microbiology. it has a very good scope and opportunity. also if you have a good knowledge you can earn more than a MBA student. research field is also glorious for microbiology. pathology and bacteriology is very good choice. why you do not want to go for research field? research field is very interesting field. but you have to do hard work for this. for now study carefully. after completion of your graduation decide what you want to do. choose the right one and go ahead. best of luck. |

I mean you can go for job or master degree,but according to me I will suggest you of-course you should go for higher study,because your study subject has very demand in the time of recession market. As you have a higher aim for doing the Ph.D,so go for M.Sc in Microbiology,so you should not choose MBA which is totally different way of your way. There are so many colleges for completing the M.Sc degree in Microbiology. some of them are: 1:Baba Farid Institute Of Technology (BFIT)- Dehradun,Uttranchal. 2:Beehive (PG) College - Dehradun,Uttaranchal 3:Brindavan College - Bangalore,Karnataka. 4:CMCE College - Bokaro Steel City,Jharkhand 5.Jiwaji University - Gwalior,Madhya Pradesh etc....
