Mechanical is an evergreen branch which contains a lot of jobs not only in private sector but also in government sector as well . so if you have completed your B.Tech then , you can apply for government or private jobs .You can take part in :
  • IAS Exam
  • IES Exam
  • IPS
  • NTPC
  • SAIL
  • TCS
  • WIPRO
  • INFOSYS
  • DMRC
  • ONGC
  • BANK PO
  • SSC
  • TECH MAHINDRA

you have some unique advantages like- you can also apply for software jobs ,if you think that you are good in programming regardless of your mechanical branch.

If you don't want to do job now then you can go for higher studies and may join the courses like :
  • M.Tech
  • M.B.A

I will suggest you to choose M.Tech between these two . you can also move towards commerce field and can also do CS(Company Secretary) and CA (Chartered Accountant) courses.

Re: What to do after completion of B.Tech with Mechanical branch?

Hello,
The straight way is to persue Mtech for higher studies after completion of Btech with Mechanical branch..
To opt the top engineering colleges like NIT,IIT you may appear in GATE(Graduation Aptitude test for Engineering). After scoring remarkable marks in, exam you will be eligible to complete Mtech from recognised Institute in India.
Although, if you wanna to do job then you can apply in companies, but after Master degree you will have more opportunities for high payouts.
*If you wanna to do Management with job then MBA from 'Distance-Learning' will be best option for you. Moreover 'choose in what your interest is,Afterall choice is yours'.
Ok, Best of luck.
