If you have intrested then that is possible before the admission of b.tech through the AIEEE . But now you are finishing your b.tech 1 st year.So, you can not eligible to join in NIT. So, leave it that matter and concentrate on your studies All the best |

So, there is no way for taking admission directly to 2nd year in NIT. If you are interested in taking admission in other college then there are some private college which give admission in 2nd year. so, you may contact to the respective college where you want to take admission. Re: Admission in 2nd year in NIT after doing B.tech 1st year? you will not be able to take admission in NIT in direct 2nd year of B.tech course. For taking admission in an NIT..you are bound to appear for the AIEEE and then by scoring a good rank..you have to take admission in the 1st year of any NIT.. If you want..you can apply for various private and deemed universities which conduct lateral entry exams for students willing to take direct admission in the 2nd year.. Some of the colleges are :- IMS,Ghaziabad Manipal University VIT,Vellore KIIT,Bhubaneshwar (Orissa) Thappar University,Patiala (Punjab) JSS,Noida (Delhi) and many more.. |

First you take admission in 1st year then you move to another like NIT college that is not possible Best is that you read that college and complete your study that will also best for your future. If you read in NIT then you go for from first year .... Good Luck............. |

As there is no provision of admission in 2nd year of B.tech is provided by NIT's, and IIT's.. You can get admission in 2nd year of B.tech course in other engineering colleges... For that you have to appear in lateral entry test.. Through this exam you can take admission in B.tech 2nd year.. All the best. |

Now you can stop your B.Tech and attempt AIEEE. But make sure you will crack the exam otherwise don't attempt AIEEE. Continue with your regular studies.Nothing will damage your career if you are not NIT student. All the best |

Re: Admission in 2nd year in NIT after doing B.tech 1st year? Lateral Entry in NITs Dear Friend NITs offer admission to B.Tech. course through AIEEE only and that too only in first year of B.Tech. There is no provision of admission in 2nd year of B.Tech. in any NIT campus. There are some universities which allow college change in the same university. You should consult your college administration for the same. College is change outside the univeristy is very rare. |
