M.A. in English Duration : 2years medium : English Eligibility criteria : Open Category Students with 50% and above majoring with English Literature at the BA or equivalent examinations from Universities recognized by the UGC get direct admission to the course. Open Category Students with 50% and above majoring in disciplines other than English at the BA/BSc/BCom or equivalent examinations from Universities recognised by the UGC have to appear for an Advanced English Proficiency Test and score minimum 50% marks in the test to qualify for admission. Admission Procedure Students fulfilling the eligibility criteria may seek admission through the college admission office. Admission will be based on an interview held by the college as well as the marks secured in degree. For MCA and MBA Candidates must qualify either in K-MAT, PGCET Examination or in any one National Level Eligibility Test. Selection Process The final selection is based on the performance in the qualifying examination, entrance test and interview. Certificates to be produced at the time of admission are: Degree Certificate (Original + 2copies) Marks card (Original + 2copies) Transfer Certificate (Original + 2copies) Conduct Certificate (Original + 2copies) SC/ST/BT/OBC/ Category Certificate (Original + 3copies) Migration Certificate for students from other universities Fee Regulations Fees structure for those who studied under Universities of Karnataka. Question papers of entrance exams? some universities follow the following eligibility criteria however,it can vary. Eligibility Criteria M.A (ENGLISH) A Bachelor's Degree in any subject from a recognized Indian University. Students who have majored in English literature must have a minimum of 50% in optional English all the three years put together or a minimum of 55% in General English for two years Students of other subjects must have a minimum of 40% aggregate for all other subjects. |
