Hi

If you wish to join any branch of the Indian Defense, then you would have to apply and sit for the NDA exam.

UPSC conducts 2 NDA exams : NDA I and NDA II.

Since you are a graduate, so you will have to apply for the NDA II exam.

The Basic Requirements to apply for NDA II are :

1. You should be an Indian National

2. You should be a minimum graduate in any stream from a recognized college or university in India.

3. You should have scored a minimum 60% aggregate in the qualifying exam. The more you have scored, the better chances you have.

4. Your age should be between 21-25 years.

5. You should be physically fit.

6. You must haves studies Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects if you wish to apply for the Indian Navy or Air Force.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-->> So when you clear NDA II exam which is usually held in the last weeks of August every year, you would be called for a Physical Test, a Group Discussion and a personal Interview.

-->> After that you would be trained for 6-12 months in IMA Dehradun. Once your training is finished, you would be put up in your posts wherever they feel you should be of use to them.

-->> If you are a CS engineer, I would suggest you to join the Indian Air Force. Provided you must meet the physical standards for it too.

Hope this helps

All the best
