Hello dear see, now a days IRS(Indian Railway services) Exam being conducted by the UPSC. previously IRS Exam was conducted by the RRB. the eligibility criteria for the IRS(Indian Railway services) Exam is given below >>Nationality candidate must be a citizen of India. >>Age Limits: 21-30 years for general candidate. >>Minimum Educational Qualifications: The candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification. etc. so if your course is affiliated by the AICTE, and if you have also above given criteria, then you will be eligiable for the IRS(Indian Railway services) exam. all the best.......... |

The appointment of IRS officers is done through Civil Services Examination. The examination is conducted by UPSC, every year. To be eligible for this exam one should have passed Graduation in any stream from any Govt. of India recognized institution/university. As your institute is certified by IGNOU which is a recognized body and graduation in any discipline is allowed, so your qualification creates no issue. You are eligible for the exam as far as educational qualification is concerned. Further you must fulfill the age limitation criteria too. 21-30 years (GEN category) 3 years relaxation in age for OBC and 5 years relaxation in age for SC/ST/PD candidates. Visit: www.upsc.gov.in |
