Re: Will it be possible to write NDA exam after passing 12th Arts? [B][COLOR="DarkRed"]Defence Academy and This examination is Conducted by UPSC, Twice in a Year. Only Unmarried Male candidates between the age of 16.5 to 19 Years are apply for National Defence Academy Examination. To apply for this examination, you must be Medically and Physically Fit in all the Respects. The Selection in this examination are Based on Written Test, medical Test and Personal Interview and those who cracked the Written examination are called for SSB Interview for Final Selection. Finally Selected Candidates are eligible for NDA Training. So, You are eligible to apply for Army wings of NDA and if you are Interested, then please fill the NDA Application form From 01/Jan/2012 to 30/Jan/2012. The Notification of NDA(I) 2012 Examination will be Published Today In the employment Newspaper OR in the UPSC Website. Hai, NDA has three wings: Army, Navy, Airforce. yes you are eligible to apply NDA exam expect the Army wing because army wing has require subjects in 12th is physics, chemistry and maths. So you can apply for the navy and airforce wings. All the best. |

Sorry to say that you are not eligible for NDA exam because you have completed 12th standard from arts department. Educational Qualification- You must have completed 12th standard with physics, maths, chemistry. You must have secure 60% marks in 12th. Age criteria- The age should be in between 16.5-19years. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST , OBC criteria. NOTE:- >>Only unmarried male candidate are eligible for NDA exam. >>You must have the citizenship of India. It is an entrance exam conducted by the UPSC every year to select candidates for the selection of the various officers in the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. The Basic Eligibility Criteria's to appear in the NDA are : 1. You should be a minimum 12th pass in Science stream from a recognized school or state board with a minimum 50% aggregate. 2. Your age should be between 16.5 and 19 years. 3. You should be physically fit. 4. Physics and Maths are compulsory subjects if you are applying for the Indian Navy or IAF. So in reply to your query, I am really sorry but an arts student cannot sit for the NDA 1 exam as per the eligibility criteria. However you may complete your graduation in any stream and then you may sit for the NDA 2 Non Technical exam. After 12th or after graduation you can join Indian Navy.As you are a diploma graduate then you are also very much eligible for Indian Navy.See you have to take information from different newspapers and websites when the vacancies of Navy will come and according to this you can apply. You can also apply for NDA. There generally two examination are held for NDA, one is NDA-1 and another is NDA-2.You can also attempt both this two exam. After +2 science the candidates can only apply for NDA exam nor any other. I am providing you a carrier chart from where you can get a details information about your carrier.  Good luck.......... |

Yes you can join N.D.A after passing 12th with arts stream. For this you have to qualify the National Defence Academy(N.D.A) After qualifying the N.D.A exam you will get commission in Indian Army only. You are not eligible for Indian Air Force or Indian Navy. N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year. After qualifying N.D.A exam you can join Defence services like:- > Army > Air Force > Navy Eligibility criteria:- > Pass 12th with recognized university > Age limit:-16.5-19 year. > Must be citizen of India > Medically fit IMPORTANT DATES FOR N.D.A. & N.A. Re: Will it be possible to write NDA exam after passing 12th Arts? Yes, with 12th std pass you are eligible to appear in NDA exam. NDA exam is the exam conducted by UPSC to choose best persons for taking a role in Indian Defense Services. To appear in NDA exam you must have cleared your 12th std and your age must be above 19yrs and below 21yrs. But if you wish to join in Indian navy or Air force through this exam you must have taken science as your stream. Thus with 12th arts you can join in Indian Army through this exam. But not in Indian navy or air force. |

The NDA Examination is basically conducted for recruitment in three wings of Defence Forces of India:- -> Indian Army -> Indian Air Force -> Indian Navy The candidate from arts background,you are not eligible for Indian Air Force and Indian Navy but you are eligible for Indian Army. The age limit is between 16.5 to 19 years.you are must qualify +2 level examination. |

Eligibility for NDA exam:- For ARMY wing:- 1.Candidate must have complete the 12th in any trade. 2.Age should be in between 16.5-19 years. 3.Candidate must be a citizen of India. 4.Candidate must be physically fit.. 5.Candidate should be unmarried male. These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill. So, go for it.. All the best. |

The minimum eligible age to apply for the exam is 16 years 6 months and the maximum age limit is 19 years. This age limit is applicable to apply for any of the defense forces after qualifying +2 level of exam. |
