Re: What is the age criteria of ex-service personnel for IES exam? dear friend, IES exam is conducted by UPSc every year. AGe eligibility for IES exam:- 1.candidates age should be in between 21-30 years. For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years. For OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years. For Ex-serviceman the upper age relaxation is 5 years. So, if you are an ex-serviceman then you will get 5 years of age relaxation. All the best. |

Eligibility for IES :- The aspirant age lies between 21 years and 30 years at the time of appearing for this examination and relaxation is given to the various reserved categories. Upper age limit is given to the OBC categories for 3 years. Upper age limits is given to the SC/ST categories for 5 years. Upper age limits is given to the Ex-service categories for 5 years. Education Qualification :- The aspirant should be completed graduate degree in engineering with any of Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics and Telecommunication engineering from a recognized university or equivalent qualification. Aspirant who are appearing in the final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for IES examination. Re: What is the age criteria of ex-service personnel for IES exam? IES Exam stands for Indian Engineering Services Exam. This Exam is being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) in order to recruit candidates into various government services. Here is the age criteria that candidates have to possess to take up this exam. -A candidates of General category should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for this exam. -Relaxation is there upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. -Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category. -Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of Ex-serviceman. Ex-service man also include ECOs / SSCOs who have rendered minimum of 5 years of service in Millitary by the 1st August of the year in which the exam is going to be conducted. These candidates are eligible for IES Exam only when they have been released from Millitary services by -Completion of assignment -on account of physical disability attributable to Millitary Service -invalidment.
