1. Preliminary Examination :

The Preliminary Examination would consist of one paper containing 200 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only. The duration of paper would be 3 hours.

2. Final Examination :

(Only for those who qualify in the Preliminary Examination). The Final Examination would consist of one paper containing 120 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only. Re: Detailed Information regarding syllabus and Questions pattern of AIPMT?

The All India Pre-Medical Test 'AIPMT' is conducted in two stages.

Stage I
It is called Preliminary Examination.
It would be a three hours test and would be comprising of single correct answer
objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects of 10+2 Std.
The whole question paper would consist 200 objective type questions.
50 questions will be from Physics, 50 questions from Chemistry and
100 questions from Biology (Botany + Zoology).

Stage II
Main Examination or Final Examination
After qualifying the Preliminary Examination candidates are allowed to appear Main Exam.
Also the Main Examination shall be a single paper test containing 120 objective
questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
30 questions will be from Physics, 30 questions from Chemistry and
60 questions from Biology (Botany + Zoology).
Although both (Pre and Main) the tests are objective type but the questions in Main
exam will be tougher than preliminary exam, for sure.

To get an idea about question papers you can refer the last year question papers
of AIPMT. The question paper is attached with this message.

The syllabus of the AIPMT is based on CBSE board 10+2 curriculum.
You can get the syllabus of the AIPMT on the official website of AIPMT.
