First of all you do not have mention that which department and which subject's book you want to know! At first clear this then it will be quite easy to give answer to your question.

Although as you have asked this , so I have to mention some books which are generally the B.Tech students read. Besides this, I have mentioned some books name or publication which are referred by the faculty members generally.

1. Tata McgrawHill publication
2. Electronics by Jain & Jain
3. Let us C by Y. Kaneethkar
4. Balaguruswamy's book
5. Tech Max Publication
6. Physics by Amal Chkroborty
7. P.K.Nag's book in Mechanical Science
8. Meheta & Meheta's book in Electrical
9. Mathematics by Das & Pal etc.

Hi Friend,

In B.Tech we have many branches and
in a single branch we have so many subjects.
it would be better if you have asked this question by specifying subjects or atlest branch to which you belongs to.

here i am giving best books for a B.Tech 1st year student where every one has same syllabus.

C and DS by Balaguruswami or Yashwant Kanethkar.
Chemistry by Jain & Jain.
Maths-1 by BS Grewal(Higher Engineering Mathematics)
Mathematical Methods by BS Grewal(Higher Engineering Mathematics)
Applied Physics by A.K Jha
Engineering Mechanics by Singer
Engineering Drawing by ND Bhatt
