Re: Which exam to quality for IIM admission, CAT or GMAT? Can I get admission for Post Graduation Programmes in IIMs through GMAT? Or only international candidates are allowed admission through gmat? |

CAT stands for Common Admission Test and this examination is Conducted by IIM's Every year and to apply for this examination you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognised University, You have to also scored minimum 50% marks in your Graduation, only then you are eligible to apply for CAT Examination. For CAT 2011 Examination was already completed. The Notification of CAT Examination will be Published every year in the Month of August Every year and the examination will be Conducted in the Month of November/December. Eligible candidates may fill the CAT Application form Online and the examination is Computer based test and there are only 2 section in CAT Examination : Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning. |

Hello, If you want to take admission in an IIM then you have to qualify the CAT(Common Admission Test) examination for which you have to score high percentile into your CAT exam as there are only 13 IIM's in India who requires an high percentile to take a student. you can only give an CAT exam if you scored minimum of 50% in your graduation. If a student cleared the CAT he will be called for GD(Group Discussion) and PI(personal Interview) for clearing the admission procedure. so,prepare high for getting a great percentile and being selected into a top B-school. thank you. |
