CDS stands for Combined Defense Service. The exam is conducted by UPSC.
Through Cds you can join in 4 wings of defense:

>>Indian Naval Academy
>>Officers Training Academy
>>Air Force Academy.

There are three papers in CDS written exam.All papers will be 100 marks and duration of every individual paper is 2 hours.
1.English.
2.General Knowledge.
3.Elementary Math.

English:-Arihant publication by S.C.Gupta,R.S.Agrawal & Vikas
Agrawal,S.P.Bakshi(objective english).

G.K:- some magzine like I succed,Competition in focus,Pratiyogita
darpan,Competition success review are very good.

Elementary Math:- CDS math by R.S.Agrawal or Arihant Publication.

There are many books which you can prefer upkar's CDS Examination, Arihant's CDS preparation Guide, Arihant's last 10 years question's paper, Chands mathematics. All these books are very useful for preparing for CDS.

These books are the best to prefer for CDS Examination but if you want to prepare each subject separately then go through Goyal Publisher's Geography and History and Civics along with a proper practice in English.Most of the students usually prefer Upkar Publication book so you can follow it if you understand in a right manner.

for general knoweldge go through hidustan times paper and india todays magazine.
for arthematic and mathematics by rs agarwal and you also go for arihant publication too.
