I am sorry to say that after passing 12th you can't join C.I.D or C.B.I. For this you have to pass graduation with any stream. After passing graduation you have to qualify the entrance exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission. ELIGIBILITY FOR C.B.I:- > Pass graduation with any stream from recognized University. > Age limit is 21-30 year. > Candidate must be citizen of India. Re: What should a candidate of 12th class in no medical stream do to become a CID Officer? The State Criminal Investigation Department is divided into two branches, They are (1) Intelligence and (2) Crime, Each under a Deputy Inspector-General. Both the Deputy Inspectors-General of Police are assisted by one or more Assistants of the rank of Superintendent of Police and have a number of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors and Head Constables working under them. Recruitment to posts of Sub Inspectors and Inspectors in C.I.D is made through competitive examination as well as on deputation from the State Police Services. Appointment to higher posts in C.I.D like those of DSP and SP is made from officers grade in Police department in State and Central Government. |

Re: What should a candidate of 12th class in no medical stream do to become a CID Officer? You need to first complete your graduation. It is not necessary to choose science field. You can choose any field of your interest. When you are in the final year you can apply for the UPSC exam. You should start preparing for the exam right away. Refer to the past papers for preparation. |
