Dear Aspirant,

Both are two different PG courses but having a same value in the market of IT industry.

So there is no problem in taking any stream IT/CSE.

But after taking a stream in the UG then automatically the PG course will also be under same stream.

So you cannot shift to IT/CSE in the PG course.

So think wisely before choosing any stream in UG course.

Then you can have a good career options later after doing the Under graduation from IT/CSE.

Good luck for your dreams.

Hope this info helps you.

All the best for your future endeavor's.

hi dear,
I would suggest you to go for CSE as IT had little but of slowdown after the recession and this branch is also kinda saturated as every one is joining it and lots of IT engineers are produced every year

just try for a cyber crime M.Tech course . yes , it is available in less colleges but better than IT/CS as IT/CS are too ordinary and just the same and it will be stupidity to ask the difference amongst the two. If u are only interested in software/communication just do cyber crime and once u start doing that please reply me . but do not forget the work to be done is upto you and you only

Re: M.Tech. IT vs M.tech CSE? Which one is better for PG?

dear friend

both the courses are almost same.

the different is that IT is basically computer software application.

in CSE u can work in many fields

software development, hardware , application also.

so it has more scope than IT.

so go for m.tech in cse.

all the best.

Dear friend,
There is little bit difference between CS and IT.
CS deals with only software works but IT deals with both software and hardware.
So it depends on your choice that if you are interested in dealing with hardware also you can take take IT.
BEST OF LUCK!!!!

M.Sc -CSE is better than M.Sc-IT because job aspirants having a degree in M.Sc-CSE are much in demand in comparison to M.Sc-IT.So go for M.Sc-CSE from a reputed institution.

dear friend,

here the choice is yours,if you are from the IT departments and you interest is more in

the networking, internet security then in this case i will suggest you for the m.tech IT,

and if you are from the computer science background then i will suggest you for the

m.tech in the cse, also most of the syllabus of the IT is covered under the CSE.

Well i think you should go with computing at IIT-Delhi..

Because if we talk about It and CSE ,then i would say that the latter is the best branch ..

So go for the M.tech CSE ,All the best.

dear friend,
Both fields are good one.there are so many jobs are waiting in this field.you must to analysis which one is more interest to me and then choose.I would suggest that mtech CSE is betterthan IT because compared to IT there r lot of jobs in CSE. I would give the details in both fields read carefully and select your choice.
Computer science is an evergreen field and jobs would always be in plenty. Computer science (or computing science) is the study and the science of the theoretical foundations of information and computation and their implementation and application in computer systems.Computer science has many sub-fields; some emphasize the computation of specific results (such as computer graphics), while others relate to properties of computational problems (such as computational complexity theory). Still others focus on the challenges in implementing computations.
Information technology (IT) is "the study, design, development, implementation, support or management of information systems". Information technology is a general term that describes any technology that helps to produce, manipulate, store, communicate, and/or disseminate information,
wish u all de best

dear friend,

see, both are quite similar, there are small difference between these two..

but i think M.tech CSE is better than M.tech IT.

if u have interest in developing software then u can go for M.tech CSE.

and if u have interest in programming, data encrypting then u can go for M.tech IT.

ALL THE BEST.

Re: M.Tech. IT vs M.tech CSE? Which one is better for PG?

MTech CSC is better than MTech IT since in csc you can study both the software and hardware but in IT you will study only about software.

Re: M.Tech. IT vs M.tech CSE? Which one is better for PG?

Hello friend,

More or less goals of both of these fields are same, still,I think that M.Tech in CSE is someway better than M.Tech in IT.

Because in Computer Science and Engg, you will find blend of software and hardware topics.

So it is much more interesting rather than only software concentrated IT.

There are so much variety topics you can find in the Master's course of CSE.

So the demand for CSE is more than IT in the Master's study.

Good luck!
