After 12th Arts you will not be eligible to join Indian Air Force as the minimum academic qualification for Indian Air Force is from 12th Science stream. One can join Indian Air Force through NDA(National Defence Academy), the exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA. The eligible candidate aspiring to join IAF of NDA, must be an Indian unmarried National having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised University within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness. As an Arts student, after 12th you can apply for Indian Army of NDA. For more information you may log on to http://www.upsc.gov.in |

If you really want to join the Indian Air Force you can join after graduation. After graduation you have to apply through Combine Defence Services. C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year. Eligibility Criteria for C.D.S:- > Pass graduation with any subject from recognized university > Age limit:-19-24 year > Medically fit > Must be citizen of India. Thanks |

I would like to tell you, only science students with mathematics are eligible for the Indian air force,... One can lake a way in Indian air force through NDA (NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY) & CDS (COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE). The educational requirement for the Indian air force ,THROUGH THIS examinations are 12th degree & graduation degree with physics & maths respectively. The age limit for the NDA examinations is 16.5-19 years,.. Remember that, there is not any kind of age limit relaxation for any reserved category. So, commerce & arts students cannot apply for the Indian air force & Naval force. But you can apply for the Indian Military academy (IMA). Exam pattern-  Physical -  You must have Indian nationality with marital status unmarried. ~thanxxx~ gamble!!!!! |

Dear friend, i like that you are interested in indian army.but i am sorry that you are not eligible for the indian airforce because you are came from the arts stream. If you really want to join the Indian Air Force then you can join after completion your graduation. After complete your graduation you have to apply through the Combine Defence Services. (C.D.S.) conditions for army is given below :- 1) you have Pass your graduation with any subject from the recognized university 2) candidate Must be citizen of India. 3) candidate have 165cm height etc. Good luck......  ...

Eligibility criteria for indian airforce: Candidate should be complete 12th from a recognised state board and mathematics, physics are main subjects in 12 th standard. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. You must be physically fit. Age limits is 16.5years to 19years. Selection procedure: Written test, Interview, Medical test. To join in Indian Air Force after 12th,you should appear for NDA exam.But as you have complete 12th class with Art stream,so you are not eligible for Indian Air Force.To appear for NDA(Indian Air Force) you should have complete 12th class with PCM stream from a recognized university.And age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years. Because only students of 12th science are eligible to join in IAF.. If you really want to join in IAF then you have to first complete your graduation.. After that you can apply for IAF though CDS exam.. So, first try to complete your graduation with a good percentage of marks. All the best. |
