AFCAT is air force common admission test conducted by Indian Airforce.

Following is the syllabus for AFCAT examination:

1. General Awareness – History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc.

2. Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test – Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.

3. Numerical Ability – Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit & loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple interest.

--The AFCAT is carried out every year and is controlled by the IAF. In 2011 the exam is held on March 27 in designated test centers.

--The AFCAT is a 2 hour long exam which will have objective type question. --Each of these objective questions will be provided with 4 options as answers.

--The candidate must select the correct one from the given option.

--The Syllabus of AFCAT exam will test students in
the areas like Reasoning, Numerical and verbal
ability. Other than these students will also be
tested in General awareness and Knowledge.
--The number of question will be 100 or more.
--For preparing for the AFCAT candidates must prepare
by solving previous years question papers and also
must refer to books and guides indented for this
exam. Students can also refer to other competitive exams like Bank PO, LIC, NICL etc.

Indian Air force conduct Air force Common Test (AFCT) for

Ground Duty Commission (GDOC)
Flying Duty
Technical Duty.

Since this is a common test for entry in Indian Airforce thats why syllabus is common for all the three entries.

AFCAT Exams is of 2 Hr duration for 100 Question objective type and there Is 1/3 rd negative marking.

General Awareness - History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics

Scheme Of Syllabus:

1. The AFCAT Question Paper will have 100 questions. All questions will be of three marks each. For every correct answer the candidate will get three marks and for every wrong answer one mark will be deducted under negative marking. The total time allotted for the paper is two hours.

2. Each Question Paper will have questions from the following topics:-

(a) General Awareness – History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc.

The syllabus of AFCAT is like other competitive exams...

all multiple choice questions of 100 marks or more...

time given will be two hours.

to prepare for AFCAT, you can follow any competitive exam books like BANK PO books, MBA entrance books, LIC exam books, etc....

you can also buy books for AFCAT preparation....

but the above books are enough to pass the AFCAT.

the questions are same.

Its a common Entrance test for Flying Branch, Technical Branch, Ground Duty officer .

You need to be 60% aggregate in all your Years in graduation.(More Details See the Notification)

Syllabus Consists of Reasoning, Verbal ability, General Awareness , Numerical ability & General Aptitude. Exam will be of 2 hrs Duration with Objective questions.

There is No particular Syllabus for AFCAT, you need to refer on your own for above named topics in Details.

AFCAT : The syllabus of AFCAT exam is basically is of secondary school examination.
The entrance test will be of two hours duration and will contain multiple choice questions on :

· verbal ability,
· numerical ability,
· reasoning,
· general awareness and aptitude
