Hey, To become a Chartered Accountant you will have to give CPT entrance exam or CA CPT exam Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test which is also known as CA CPT Exam is conducted by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for admitting students to Chartered Accountancy course. The test is an entry level exam. The institute conducts Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test (CA CPT) four times a year, at various cities across India. The required eligibility criteria’s are as follows: Passed Std. X examination or equivalent can join CPT after registration with the Board of Studies & can appear after appearance at Std. XII. Candidates, who have passed B.Com, M.Com, LLB, ICWA, CS or MBA at the first attempt, are also eligible to apply. The candidates, who have appeared or appearing in final year of the qualifying examination, are also eligible to apply. CPT involves 4 subjects namely, 1). Fundamentals of Accounting. 2). Economics. 3). Quantitative Aptitude. 4). Mercantile Laws. In order to pass through this exam, you have to score 100 marks from the total 200 marks questions. Best of luck!!!! |

Re: Procedure and qualification required to become a Chartered Accountant? To become a Chartered Accountant you must do C.A. course. For joining in C.A. course you must register in ICAI(Institute of Chartered Accountant in India). There are three divisions in C.A. They are 1. Foundation 2. Intermediate and 3. Final Each of them have duration of at least one year course. Thus it will take at least 3years to complete C.A. course. The qualifications required for joining in C.A. course is that you must have completed your 12th std and you must also qualify in CPT(Common Proficiency Test). Those exams are very tough and you must work hard to clear those exams. |

If your waiting for result of 12th standard may also eligible to apply for this course . You should qualified in CPT Examination then only your eligible to apply for the course . If your qualified in Graduation and CPT Examination then you may Directly eligible to apply for IPCC ( Integrated Professional Competence Course ) For Common Proficiency Test :- You should complete 10th or 12 th board Examination in any discipline from recognized university . GET YOURSELF REGISTERED WITH ICAI FOR C.A CPT COURSE PROSPECTUS RS.100 QUALIFICATION FOR APPEARING IN CPT 10+2 PASSED IT is commerce stream course but any stream student can apply/join the CA. BUT if you are Graduates/ Post Graduates you can directly join IPCC and Articleship. other details about the CA There are three stages in CA Common Proficiency Test(CPT) IPCC Final examination After clearing both IPCC (group I & II ) You can appear for final examination CA FEE C A fee is around 40000/- to 45000/-. for futher information visit www.icai.org |
