Hello friend, Just by solving 10 model question papers you cannot crack the GATE.GATE is one of toughest exam,it need lot of hard work.To crack the GATE you need good knowledge in your subjects.After reading the core subjects clearly,you have to solve lot of model papers.So first try to learn the subject then after go for model question papers,then you can crack the exam. There are a no: of online tests available on the websites from which you can make practice time to time & can get your score instantly so that you can make an improvement in it. 5. The last Tip is very important as its not necessary to complete the whole syllabus before exam but always remember that How much you have done ,you will be the master of that particular part |

Hello friend, -Go with a perfect strategy by dividing the portion of subjects and allotting required number of days for each subject. -Practice as many as problems you can with a time limit to improvise your ability to solve a given problem. -Do solve all previous papers of GATE atleast of past 10 years for sure. -Make a habit of preparing notes which makes you to revise easier and faster manner. -Memorize all necessary formulae. -Practise shortcut methods. -Be 100% accurate at aptitude and verbal part to increase scoring. Hope these steps shall be helpful for you to crack the exam, All the best. |

The syllabus of GATE is from entire BTech course so its very usual that you will be confused seeing question papers. First of all you should go through the GATE syllabus for your branch. CLICK FOR GATE SYLLABUS(CSE). You first match the topics you have studied already and then prepare them thoroughly. Now as far as your Btech courses advances you should prepare the topics for GATE in parallel to your Btech studies. While you would be covering up the topics from GATE syllabus keep trying to work out the previous year question from the GATE question Bank. This regular practice will make you good enough to score well in GATE during your final year. Thank You |

For getting a seat in IIT's you have to score at least 600+ along with 95% Percentile in GATE. Generally students able to score 300-400, but crossing it becomes little tougher. But candidates having good Performance in the B.Tech semester doesn't find the task so tough, because the whole syllabus is of what someone has studied in B.tech. Besides these matters GATE is not an Static one its Dinamic keeps changing in pattern etc. So, starts preparing for it simultaneously with your B.Tech. If you are finding any difficulty just join any good Coachiong for it, there is nothing to hesitate in it. However, once go through the GATE 2010 official site, your doubts will be cleared to some extent. http://gate.iitkgp.ac.in/gate10/ Thanks |

You can check the online test, and work out with the previous year papers. But also you have to be constantly updated about the new items and have strong knowledge about the basics. |

Re: GATE Entrance Exam preparations: Is solving 10 years papers enough? dear, 1st thing i will tell you that you have to know your proper syllabus for gate exam corresponding to your branch. then start preparation from where you are in good knowledge of particular subject and revise properly and then come to other subject for preparation. keep in mind that in between preparation you must solve previous year paper. it is enough to solve 10 year question paper to know about 'what types of question is coming?' for this you must have sufficient time about 2-3 month for preparation and also you have proper material for study. and one thing i am tell you that please do work hard if you are serious. so, well prepared in next coming gate exam. |

So, to crack the GATE exam, one should have good preparation prior to the exam. Here i am providing some of the guidelines which will be helpful for you as a part of your preparation. -Be good enough in the fundamentals or basics. First concentrate on this aspect. -Before this make a time table of yourself of what subjects to study and when to study them. -Give priority to the subjects and try to finish the subjects first which you feel easy. |

There is little scope to get the questions of previous year papers. I would suggest you some guidelines for preparing GATE exam. -Get some GATE questions and answers book. Soon after the completion of preparation for a particular chapter or topic, go through these books so that you may know the way how the questions are being asked. - Give priority to the subjects and try to finish the subjects that you feel easy if there is less time for you to prepare for GATE exam. - Be good enough in all the fundamental concepts - Go through previous papers. The more the practice you have, the more easily you can crack the GATE exam. -But it is not a good decision to depend solely on the GATE previous year papers. |

You can see syllabus of GATE than according to syllabus you can do preparation. you are in 5th sem so you do not have to give enough time to GATE and you can purchase the book previous years solved question papers and for aptitude test purchase Dr. rs aggarwal. but remember only solved 10 years question papers is not sufficient you have to read you text book with very conceptually. |

You can take a conceptual view of each and every question, this would be beneficial if you start your perparation by your own. Follow these: 1. Purchase a regular GATE book eg: GK publisher 2. Study reference books if required , given in GATE book. 3. Devote atleast 3-5 hours daily. 4. Summarize after reading of each chapter. |

Dear friend, since you are in 3rd year right now you wont understand the entire paper its because this exam consists of subjects from all the years.so my suggestion to you will be to get a deep knowledge of all the subjects and then start solving the papers and i think solving only last 10 years papres wont be much benificial for you.you can buy study materials for that. To get admission for M.Tech from good college you have to get good percentile of marks in GATE exam. It will be better if you join a coaching classes like T.I.M.E or IMS for MBA And for GATE you can join GATE forum. so friend work hard and start preparing for it . |
