The candidates can opt for the combined defence service exam (CDS). The candidates need to have studied science as their major subjects during their 12th class and also during graduation. |

CDS exam have three category- 1. For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy : Degree of a recognized University or equivalent. 2. For Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering or B.Sc. ( with Physics or Mathematics ) for NCC entry. 3. For Air Force Academy : Degree of recognized University ( with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level ) or Bachelor of Engineering. For CDS exam your age must be in between 21 to 24 years old. The candidate must be currently studying in Pre-final year of BE / B Tech degree course in the relevant streams of engineering as mentioned above and must have secured minimum of 60% marks in aggregate . Those candidate have completed graduation are eligible NCC SPECIAL ENTRY exam.You must have NCC C certificate. But you have not any Pending Backlog. For NCC Special Entry exam ,Your age should be in between 18 to 25 years. . |

For joining in Indian Army after your graduation i would suggest you to appear and clear an exam conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) of India. That exam is named as Combined Defense Service Exam commonly called as CDSE exam. This exam is conducted twice per year. Through this exam you can join in any of the three defense services namely Army, Navy, and Air force. For joining in Indian Army through this exam you must have certain eligibility criteria. They are as follows 1. You must be a citizen of India. 2. Your age must be above 21years and below 30years. 3. You must have finished your graduation of any discipline from a recognized university. |

If you have missed the chance this year then please wait for Next CDS (II) Examination Notification. The candidates have to adhere to certain medical standards and should pass in the medical test also. The successful completion of the written will make the candidates eligible for the personal interview. |
