Dear aspirant,
Yes you can apply for IAS because you fullfils the basic minimum qualification creteria of graduation from indian university. It does'nt matter that which is your subjects or stream wheater Medical or non-medical, So you can apply.

HI!
I am happy to inform you that you are eligible for I.A.S exam after passing graduation..
After graduation you can apply for I.A.S exam.
I.A.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Age should be in between 21-30 year. For ST/SC candidate age should be in between 21-33 year.

CIVIL SERVICES EXAM., 2012
Date of notification:-04.02.2012
Last Date of receipt of form:- 05.03.2012(MONDAY)
Date of exam(Preliminary):- 20.05.2012(SUNDAY)
Date of exam(Mains):- 05.10.2012(FRIDAY)


You can apply online or offline.
The Form cost is just 50 Rs.

Yes you are eligible for I.A.S after passing graduation.

I.A.S exam exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Qualification:- Pass graduation with any stream fron recginiced university.

Age limit:-
For Open category:- 21-30 year
For OBC category:- 21-33 YEAR
For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year

Number of Attempts:-
For open category:- 4 attempts
For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts

Academic Qualification :
The candidate must be graduate from any university.

Age Limit :
For General :21 to 30 years.
[SC/ST will get 5 years age relaxation and OBC will get 3 year age relaxation]

No Of Attempts :
General : 4.
SC/ST: Unlimited.
OBC :7.

Civil Services Examination is the most prestigious examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various All India Services including I.A.S., I.P.S., I.F.S.,I.R.S., and various Group A Services and Group B Services.

(1) Plan of Examination

Normally applications are invited by UPSC notifications in leading News Papers during December every year.

The Civil Services Examination consists of three stages.

1. Civil Services Preliminary Examination ( Objective Type) (Usually conducted in May)
2. Civil Services Main Examination (Written) (Conducted during October/November)
3. Interview and final Selection (During April/May)

Eligibility for IAS


for appearing the Civil Service Exams..you need to satisfy the following criteria :-

1)you should have a graduate degree from a recognized college of India..

2)you should be within the age limit of 21-30 years for general category..less than 33 for OBC and less than 35 years for SC/ST..

there are two stages :-

1) Prelims :- this exam is based on aptitude,general knowledge and current affairs..this round has two papers..

2)Mains :- this exam will test your knowledge of your graduation subjects..

if you clear both the rounds then you will be eligible for the interview round..
