Re: I want to make career in Marine Studies hello friend, marine studies has very good scope in india as well as in abroad also, this is very interested course and you make your career better in these fields..........and you can go to sea, and most of those that do find that a large part of their research careers take place in shore-based labs............ |

Re: I want to make career in Marine Studies since, you are a b.tech graduate. you can join merchant navy directly, you have to go for 10months pre sea traning in marine engineering,which is offered by meri,bengal or recruiting company itself. after that you will be appointed as the 5th or trainee engineer in the pay scale of anything between 20.000-40,000 |

Re: I want to make career in Marine Studies he two main institutes in India which provide good training in Marine Studies are Training Ship Chanakya, Navi Mumbai (Offers B.Sc. in Nautical Science) and Marine Engineering Research Institute (MERI), Kolkata (Offers 4 year graduate certificate in Marine Engg). To get admission in Marine Engg, first you have to qualify Joint Entrace Examination which is conducted by IITs every year in the months of Dec/ May. Admission notification to these programs are published in the Employment News in the months of Jun/ July.
