Start the habit of reading newspapers and start taking your graduation courses seriously...try to study from the view of learning things..because you cant clear IAS with cramming...try to get the maximum out from the books

dear friend,
IAS exam is conducted by UPSC. there are two stages, the first stage is- preliminary examination (which is consists of aptitude test).
the second stage is- Main examination and interview(after clearing the preliminary exam the candidates are called for main exam).
you can also take some coaching classes for preparing yourself for IAS...
all the best..

But following combinations of two optional subjects are not permissible

You should obtain the syllabus of these subjects from www.upsc.gov.in

How to Prepare?:
First of all you are required to select the proper optional subjects
based on your knowledge a interests.

The preparation should be started with the General studies paper(Main)
and syllabus of CsAT.
once you are done with a good quantity of the above, then you should start preparing for optional subjects and then the remaining papers of
Main exam.

It is quite difficult to do the preparation without proper guidance
so you should consult some students who are already preparing for this
and some coaching institute study material.
