Re: Can I join in Army as GD after completing 12th with Arts group? dear friend, Eligibility Criteria :- 1. Age :: 19 to 23 years as on 01 july 2012 i.e. born between 2nd july 1989 to 1 July 1993(both dates inclusive). 2. Educational Qualification :: Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed 10+2 th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together. But after 12 th standard you can also join in Indian Army as G.D. 3. Physical Standard :: i.) Height : minimum 162.5 cm and more than this ii.) Weight : in between 60 to 80 kg iii.) Hi dear after complete your 12th then if you want to join as army officer then that is not possible because after 12th it is very difficults. after 12th you give NDA exam but if you go for attins interview after complete in your graduation then eligible because all the candidates may choose CDS that is officer cader exam.. However, candidates who have only qualified Secondary level of examination needs 45% in the qualifying exam as well as 32% marks in each subjects in the Secondary level. The minimum eligible age to apply for the position is 17 years 6 months. The maximum age limit is 21 years.
