Re: How can I join Indian Air Force in flying branch after completion of B.E? I completd BTECH in 2010 (electrical dept),i have been working in one construction company as a planning eng(planning management group)since one year.But i am not able to work in site atm.I want to work in office.please give me advice to change my stream to any gov sectir or by using this exp may i work in any office side.i already wasted 2 years. |

You can join Indian Air force after passing Engineering.. For this you have to qualify the C.D.S exam.. C.D.S stand for Combine Defence Services.. C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.. Age limit for C.D.S exam is 19-24 year.. For more detail log on to www.upsc.gov.in GOOD LUCK! |

Re: How can I join Indian Air Force in flying branch after completion of B.E? dear friend, Eligible Criteria for Flying Branch in I.A.F. :- 1. Age :: 19 to 23 years as on 01 july 2012 i.e. born between 2nd july 1989 to 1 july 1993(both dates inclusive). 2. Educational Qualification :: Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed 10+2 th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together. 3. Physical Standard :: i.) Height : minimum 162.5 cm and more than this ii.) Weight : in between 60 to 80 kg iii.) After completion of B.E. you can join Indian Air Force through following ways:- CDS AND AFCAT CDS- COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam conducted by UPSC twice every year for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy. The eligible candidate must be an Indian unmarried having Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years of age with good physical fitness can apply for CDS. As you are from Engineering stream, you can apply for the Indian Air Force Academy of CDS. AFCAT-AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST conducted by Air Force every year for:- FLYING BRANCH TECHNICAL BRANCH GROUND DUTY BRANCH The candidate having completed graduation degree in Engineering from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks within the age of 19 to 23 years is eligible to apply for the Flying Branch of Air Force through AFCAT. The selection is through:- AFCAT written exam SSB Interview Medical Test For more information you may log on to www.upsc.gov.in for CDS and www.careerairforce.nic.in for AFCAT exam. |

Re: How can I join Indian Air Force in flying branch after completion of B.E? After the completion of B.E , you need to take CDS or AFCAT test for entry to Indian Air Force. CDS and AFCAT exams both are conducted twice in a year. There are various domain or i can say branches in which you can try himself i.e technical , flying , OTA , ground duty As you are interested in flying. After clearing of any above exam, you need to choose one domain. IF you chose flying,then you need to under go a Pilot aptitude battery test. You need to clear that test at first attempt. As no second attempt and then you be called for SSB for selection tests . |

NCC Entry :- To apply for this examination,you must have a NCC Air wings Senor Division C Certificate and then only you are eligible to apply for NCC Entry examination. You have to finished your graduate degree or engineering of a recognized University or equivalent qualification and the candidate must secure at least 60% aggregate marks in their examination.There is no backlogs at the time of appearing for this examination.Age limits should be between 19 years and 23 years and Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply.You must have a Studied 12th examination with Physics and Mathematics in your examination. Short Service Commission :- You have to completed your bachelor's degree or engineering in any desire subject of a recognized University or equivalent qualification and the candidate must secure at least 60% aggregate marks in their examination.There is no backlogs at the time of appearing for this examination.Age limits should be between 19 years and 23 years and Unmarried male/female candidates are eligible to apply.You must have a Studied 12th examination with Physics and Mathematics in your examination. Upper age limit for Candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxed upto 25 yeras.
