Re: Job vacancies in GP rating course in IMA institute? Admission for General Purpose Rating ( GP ) - 6 months Course ELIGIBILITY PASS IN 10th Std with Total Average 40% marks. (With Individual Pass in Mathematics, Science Subjects). (or) PASS in 2 year I.T.I Course from Govt. approved institute with minimum 50% aggregate marks in final year. 40% Marks in English Subject is required either in 10th or 12th Standard (or) Any Degree / Diploma Course. AGE LIMIT Min. 17years 6 months - 25 yrs (maximum) No Color Blindness, 6/6 Vision in each eye. No Eye Glasses permitted. Procedure for Booking of Seats, Important Dates for Admission & Joining 1 The interested candidates can book their seats by downloading the application form from the website (or) can be collected directly from the office. 2 To confirm your reservation of Seat, the application should be accompanied with the Reservation Fee of Rs.25,000/= by DD. The DD should be in favor of 'International Maritime Academy' payable at Chennai. (Seat Reservation Receipt will be sent immediately). 3 Earlier booking will ensure your seat for the immediate Batch. 4 Last date to send the application form to reserve your seat is 30 th October 2011(For the batch commencing from 2nd January 2012 ). 5 Any extension of Date to submit late application form, Can be requested from the Office. 6 The Students should report the IMA-Administrative office along with the passport size Photograph (Two). Original 10th Std. Mark sheet & Passing Certificate etc., (The Exact Reporting Date will be informed to the Students). 7 Verification of Mark sheets & Medical Test will be conducted at the Academy. 8 If the students, fail in the Medical test (which will be conducted at the Academy), will not be confirmed for their admission. 9 The students, who are medically fit & found their eligibility marks correct, should pay the balance course fee before 30 th October 2011 (For the batch commencing from 2nd January 2012) 10 The students who have reserved their seats, must come with their Personal items (List of items will be informed by the Academy) to IMA Hostel. CAREER PATH Joining 6 months GP Rating Course After Passing CDC is issued by DG Shipping which is required for employment Eligible to join as either Deck Crew (or) Engine Crew Promoted as AB Seaman, Bosun in Deck side (or) Promoted in Engine side 36 Months Sea Experience Eligible to appear for 2nd mate Exams Eligible to get Promotion to Second officer & upto Captain Level |
