As you are interested to join technical department of Indian Army so I want to tell you that in order to join Indian Army you should have completed your 12th class in science stream from a recognized university. After completing intermediate class in science stream you can directly apply for technical department of Indian Army. You have to appear in entrance exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Eligibility Criteria:- 1)- You should have passed your 12th class in science stream from a recognized board. 2)- You should have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects in 12th. 3)- You should be an Indian citizen. 4)- You should be an unmarried male. 5)- You should have scored atleast 50% marks in 12th with minimum 40% marks in each subject. 6)- Your age should be in between 17.5 to 23 years. Selection process:- 1.Written test 2. Personal Interview Exam syllabus:-

To join in Indian army in technical fields you should have the following qualifications 1.10th + ITI course 2.Diploma in any technical course 3.Engineering graduation Then you can apply for technical jobs You have mentioned that you are doing B.Tech ECE, so you can apply for technical jobs related to engineering graduation You can apply for the following posts 1.TGS (Engineers) 2.Short service commission technical men Qualification : Engineering graduation age limit : 20-27 years The notification will be released in may/june & Nov/Dec for TGS Dec/Jan & June/July for SSC Tech |

Re: Eligibility for Indian Army Technical Department? hi dear  these are the requirements for indian army technical department in indian army 1.you should have a b.tech/b.e degree in any trade 2.you should have at least 60% mark in 10th,12th and degree as well. (if you have gpa system,check out the indian army guideline for gpa to percentage conversion,which is differend universities and boards) 3.first you go to the site :- indianarmy.nic.in/ |

Dear pal, as a a engineer you can join under three group namely SSC UES TGC the eligibility for each field differs SSC The eligibility for the short service commission is you should have graduation from few particular discipline in Engineering your age must be between 20 and 27 you must not be married UES the eligibility for University entry scheme includes Pre final years can apply. unmarried male candidate between 19 and 25 years of age TGC a degree in engineering discipline age within 20 and 27 |

Re: Eligibility for Indian Army Technical Department? You have not mentioned what your current qualification. You can join after completing 12th standard and also after completing graduation. If you plan to join after 12th then you can join the technical side through the TES scheme. For this a minimum of 70% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Maths is required. Engineers can join through options like UES, Short service commission and also TGC option depending on the eligibility criteria for each of these options. Even women graduates can join through the short service commission option. |
