Re: How many attempts are permissible for GATE Exam DEAR FRIEND GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. Its an all India level test which is jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institute of Technology. If you wish to do masters in technology then you need to give this examination. Following students can sit for GATE exam:- If you are a bachelor's degree holder in Engineering/Technology/Architecture then you can sit for this exam provided the degree is a full time regular one of four year's duration. If you are in the final year of B.Tech awaiting the result of the exam or about to give the final exam then also you can give this exam. If you have master's degree science or mathematics or computer science or statistics then also you can give this exam. Final year students too are eligible. If you are in the second or higher year of Four-year Integrated Master degree programme in Engineering/Technology or in the third or higher year of a Five-year integrated master degree programme in Engineering/Technology then also you can sit for this exam. Exam Pattern:- Mainly objective type questions are asked in this exam which means clear concept of all subjects should be there so that at least you can attempt as many questions possible. An OMR sheet will be given to you containing 65 questions and total marks allotted for the exam is 100 marks. The total paper needs to be finished in three hours' time. Mostly the objective questions will be of MCQ types where each questions will have four options and you need to choose the right one. There's negative marking too. There is negative marking of 1/3rd marks for one mark question and 2/3rd marks for two mark question. Please remember that there is no age criteria as such and you can give this exam for as many times you want. No restrictions over there as well. This year's online exam is already over and the offline exam is yet to take place. Re: How many attempts are permissible for GATE Exam It is not necessary to give gate exam to do m.tech. You can also give entrance exam in different university to get admission in m.tech. Like-jamia and indraprastha university have their own entrance exam for m.tech. |

Re: How many attempts are permissible for GATE Exam THIS EXAMINATION , known as GATE examination, does not have such kinds of restriction of appearing.students starts to give this exam in their pre final year.at present the validity of gate score card is for 2 years. you can appear for gate exam as many times you like.but you are not in position to appear for gate exam after 4 to 5 years of your b.tech. degree. |

Re: How many attempts are permissible for GATE Exam well friend, There is no permissible limit for this exam till now and yeah you can write at the pre final and final year of your engg. course but one thing you should keep in mind is that The GATE SCORE is valid for two years and Its never too late. Re: How many attempts are permissible for GATE Exam GATE EXAM has no limits for attempting the test...you can give it any number of time..the forms will be availabale in mid september and the exam is conducted in mid FEB..and anyways you need not give gate exam so many times...because its not that difficult...only sincere hard work is required for 5 months before gate..and keep solving previous years question papers... try downloading the question papers which are easily available in gate forum web site...according to your branch... GOOD LUCK !!! |
