Civil Services Examination Chemistry (Paper II) - Download Previous Years Question Papers The Civil Services Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission in two phases. In the preliminary phase the exam is objective type. There are two papers in the preliminary exam. They are General Studies and a Civil Services Aptitude Test. The main exam is the second stage. There are nine papers in the main exam. Students have to take up two optional papers, and two papers are there on each optional subject. Chemistry is one of the optional subjects. Science students take up this subject. The syllabus is of degree level, but the questions are tough and tougher is the competition. So, extensive preparation is required, before one takes the test.
