I have interest in both engineering as well as bio but my family members discourage me by saying that PMT is very difficult , what will be the disadvantages of PCMB in 11 will it be that difficult that i can't get good rank in either subject |

Re: Should I take PCMB in 11th and 12th if I want to crack CPMT? The eligibility criteria for CPMT is as under- 1. One must complete the 11th and 12th with physics , chemistry, biology. 2. The age of the candidate must be more than 17years. As you want to go for CPMT, so it is necessary to take Biology in your +1 and +2. For Medical field PCB is best choice and a combination of Maths with them is simply a waste for your career as you need a lot of time for the preparation of Medical Exam. On the other hand if you want to go in Engineering field then you should take only Physics Chemistry and mathematics only. |

Re: Should I take PCMB in 11th and 12th if I want to crack CPMT? PCMB is not necessary for CPMT.if have only one goal as CPMT then PCB is best for you. For CPMT Physics,Chemistry and Biology subject are necessary and Mats is not required.if you are not certain about your field then you can take PCBM in 11th. PCBM will be a waste.combination of these four subjects is not required in any exam.you have to choose any field and take subject according to that field. For Medical field PCB is best choice and these are required subjects.you have to score good marks in 12th for best college. |

Re: Should I take PCMB in 11th and 12th if I want to crack CPMT? hi...the first thing you should know is that the mediacl entrance examinations are really tough and due to very less number of seats availaable in our country the competetion is huge and to get into one you should be an really an extremly hard working student and also you should work by almost forgetting every thing else in your life,if you have that kind of zeal then you should take only biology ,if you doubt yourself in that point of view then i think you should really take mbpc in your engineering because even though the maths subject is huge but it provides many career opprotunities which biology does not. so even if you are not able to crack medical you can try atleast engineering which is compartively easy to get an seat becuase pf huge number of colleges and also there are many other options which will remain open for you because of the maths subject,so my advice is if you want to have options open then its better to take both maths and biology |

since you want give the exam of CPMT, there will be no use of mathematics in that. you will be eligible to give the exam even if you are not having math in 11th or 12th class. it will be a waste of time if you take maths. you should take physics, chemistry and biology in 11th and 12th class as your main subjects. that will be sufficient for you. |

At first choose in which field you have more intarest either Medical or Engineering. if you want to go in Medical field then you should take only Physics Chemistry and Biology only. on otherhand if you want to go in Engineering field then you should take only Physics Chemistry and mathamatics only. But there are a vast chapter in mathamatic. and anotherside the no. of seats in Medical colleges are very less in comparision to the no. Thanks! |

The eligibility criteria for CPMT - One must complete the 11th and 12th with physics , chemistry, biology ... The age of the candidate must be more than 17years.. These are the criteria you have to fulfill.. So, if you really want to go for medical field then you have to take physics, chemistry , biology in 11th and 12th.. Maths is not necessary, but if you have interest in it then you can take it as a additional subject.. so, all the best.. |

Re: Should I take PCMB in 11th and 12th if I want to crack CPMT? see friend for medical entrance xam, t5he paper is minly consisted of questions from physics,chemistry and biology whereas for engg. entrance xam the paper consists of physics,chemistry and maths. so if ur ultimate aim is to clear cpmt then maths is not required otherwise maths as a subject in +2 is needed if u give engg. entrance also |

So, you should take only Physics Chemistry and Biology only. As the no. of seats in medical colleges are very less in comparision to the no. of aspirants so it requires a lot of hard work to crack some medical entrance exam. So, you need to be very sincere and also to the point for your preparation. Mathematics is itself a huge domain which will consume much of your time. So, go for PCB only. |
