NPTI Admission Eligibility Criteria 2012 : Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering Age : Maximum 25 years as on 01st August, 2012. NPTI Admission Procedure 2012 : Candidates shall be short listed on the basis of marks obtained in the Qualifying Diploma ( Preferably 60% ) examination conducted by recognized college / Institute. 40 (Forty). 10% seats are reserved for sponsored category. If seats remain vacant in this category then the same will be converted into non-sponsored Category. Reservation for SC, ST, OBC ( non – creamy layer ) & PH will be applicable as per Government norms. 1) 1, 20,000/- ( in two equal installments ) for non – sponsored candidates 2) 1, 70,000/- ( in one installment ) for sponsored candidates. NPTI Admission Fees : 1) 1, 20,000/- ( in two equal installments ) for non – sponsored candidates. 2) 1, 70,000/- ( in one installment ) for sponsored candidates. Additional Fees : Caution deposit 2,000/-( Refundable ), Conveyance charges 2,400/-& Internet charges 1,200/- ( one time only ). 7,500/- is payable as placement charge if placed. NPTI Admission Application Form 2012 : NPTI Admission Application on plain paper typed in English in the following format, or, downloaded NPTI Admission application from website : www.nptiguwahati.com/www.npti.in. Along with the demand draft of 500/- in favour of "National Power Training Institute – NER" payable at Guwahati should reach the Director latest by 16th July, 2012 along with two recent passport size photographs. Short listed candidates will be informed through email / phone / letter. The fee should be paid at the time of admission through bank challan which may be downloaded from NPTI-NER website. Apart from PGD, it also offers B.E./B.Tech. and MBA courses. There are six campuses of NPTI The NPTI campuses are; NPTI Nagpur NPTI Badarpur NPTI Durgapur NPTI Neyveli NPTI Guwahati NPTI Nangal PGD Course If you have completed B.E. in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Power/ Electronics/ Control & Instrumentation Engineering then you can apply for PGD course. The admission to PGD courses is done on the basis of merit in an entrance test (PGD-CET) conducted by NPTI. The advertisement fo PGD-CET 2012 has been published.
