Dear,
According to me -
you are not eligible for get admission
in b.tech in karnataka state, because for this you have to need
a domecile certificate other wise you can not get admission in
karnataka cet exams but you have to get admission through
AIEEE exams.
Thanks.

Dear friend
Mostly universities that conduct entrance examination for lateral entry are private university. So they have reservation criteria for the domiciled students but the rest open to all India.
So in most of colleges you can apply for lateral entry.
Some of the leading colleges that offer LEET are;
Indraprastha University, New Delhi
St. Longowal Institute of engg and tech., Punjab
Cochin University, Cochin
KIITS Orissa
VIT Vellore
Hindustan Institute of Technology, Chennai

Apart from that the Kerala state conducts separate exam for lateral entry. Almost all the colleges in kerala has the provision of lateral entry

Yeah you can apply for outside states for lateral entry. There are few exam which are organized on all india basis which are LEET-Tu by Thapar University, Manipal.IPUCET etc

So prepare for these exam if you want to get into the best institutes otherwise you can appear for state entrance exams for which there are few reservations for outside state students

hi friend,

Yes , you can write lateral entry exam of other state also. Some engineering colleges would regard you in an open category(all india quota) and some would categorise you (outside native state) in management quota.
Many states like punjab or haryana do allow external state student to take admission through their LEET exam(Lateral Entry test of engineers). You should write those entrance examination and be in touch with them.

You can refer this website for entrance exam dates:

dear friend,
you can only be eligible to write lateral entry exam to do BTech if you are not of that state ,if and only if you have the domicile of that particular state.moreover you can take it as if you have a more marks and you fall in to the category of 15% seats for outsiders.
then only you can take otherwise not.
