Re: Procedure to become an Income Tax Officer? respected one, Am CA final student. after completion of my CA i want to become an officer in IT department with high ranking position.now i have some doubts about that, is any exemptions available to CA's, and they must write SSC exams, is there is any direct recruitment procedure is available to them , or they must complete graduation or not, please tell me the answers of these questions to me more helpful. now i got 65 % in exams conducted by ICAI. For any C.A qualified student easily become Income Tax officer exam.Because what ever the subjects you studied in your course will help you in Income tax officer exam.Income tax officer exam divided into three sections.You can easily clear all three rounds.Because first round mains exam contains all the question what ever you studied in your C.A course.Other round just about personal interviews |

Re: Procedure to become an Income Tax Officer? Eligibility to be an Income Tax Officer: Educational Qualification:- should be Bachelor's degree of any stream. Age limit:- For general categories candidates: 18 to 27 years For OBC categories candidates : 18 to 30 years For SC/ST candidates : 18 to 32 years The upper age limit is also relaxed in favor of certain categories of employees working under the Government of India and Defense Services Personnel. Selection procedure: Preliminary Examination,Main Examination,Interview. Preliminary exam consisting of two papers. The papers are on: General Intelligence and General Awareness (Part A)100 marks Arithmetic(Part B) 100 marks Main Examination:- Those candidates who are declared qualified in the Preliminary examination are supposed to take the final exam. Final examination will consists of two part .Part A will be of written examination and second Part B will be of Personality Test. General Studies 200 Marks English 100 Marks Arithmetic 200 Marks Language 100 Marks Communication Skill and writing 200 Marks Personality Test:- If you are selected then the final stage is the interview. Re: Procedure to become an Income Tax Officer? For Income tax officer you have to apply for SSC CGL examination which is conducted every year. CGL is a Combined Graduate Level Examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission. You must have following qualifications if you want to apply for SSC CGL exam: -Graduate in Any Discipline from a recognized university . -Age should be between 18 to 27 years if you are General Category. -Age relaxation is available for SC/ST, OBC , PWD and Ex-Servicemen category. The selection as Income Tax Officer depends upon following exams: -TIER I objective Type Paper -TIER II Objective paper for TIER I qualifiers -Interview or Skill Test. Income Tax Officer Exam is conducted by SSC to recruit the Income Tax Officer. there are some Eligibility criteria such as: 1.Qualification: a)you should have any degree of a recognized University, or equivalent. as you have done graduation in B.Com ,so you are positively eligible. 2.Age: a:Your age should not be not less than 18 yers and not greater than 27 years on the first July of the year of examination b) The age limit for the posts of Inspector of Income Tax, is 18-27 years as on March 2011 3.Physical Standards (Minimum) a)Height :157.5cm b)Chest :81cm ,fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm c)Physical Test: i)Walking:1600 meters in 15 minutes ii)Cycling:8 Km in 30 minutes |

The graduation can be done in any discpline. age limit is 18-27 years Then you have to give a written exam conducted by the SSC. Re: Procedure to become an Income Tax Officer? HI Yes..after completion of your MCA you can go for both private sector and govt sector.So after completion of your MCA you can go for govt sector. If you are completed your MCA then don't worry you have the wide range of opportunities. After MCA you can go for top MNC's like TCS Wipro Infosys HCL IBM etc.. And you can go for some of the govt jobs like Banking sector Railways SSC Defense services Civil services etc..... Good lk....... |

Re: Procedure to become an Income Tax Officer? In order to become an IT officer, you have to first clear the Short Service Commission exam (SSC). You are required to complete the Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university to appear for the exam. Even candidates who have minimum pass marks in graduation can apply. The lower age limit is 18 years and the upper age limit is 27 years. These exams are usually conducted every year in the month of April. |
