IES is a Indian Engineer Service is a better civil service exam after completing graduation degree (B.E/B.Tech) .Indian Engineer Service entrance exam conducted every year by Union Public service commission.

IES entrance exam paper consist in two parts:-

i) Section - I :- Section -I question mainly based on general english and general awerness .

ii) Section -II :- Section -II question mainly based on general studies in Mechanical engineering as well as general machines.

Syllabus of Mechanical engineering stream for IES entrance exam:----

1) Theory of Machines

2) Machine design

3) Strength of Material

4) Engineering Material

5) Manufacturing science

Paper of IES exam totally based on Mechanics works like forming process ,Welding process,Metal casting process etc.
