Re: How to improve General knowledge and Vocabulary?

The only way to improve General Knowledge is reading news papers regularly and watching news channels and getting knowledge on various aspects.

In addition updating of the acquired knowledge is also important. Myself I will suggest you the following areas to enhance knowledge
-International affairs
-National affairs
-Sports
-Books and Authors
-Bilateral affairs etc.

Try to discuss regarding these issues with your friends and known persons and try to involve in discussions so that you may also get the points which you are not aware of.

As per vocabulary, try to learn 5 new words at least in a day and try to use them in your regular conversations.

You can prepare your General Knowledge from Current affairs magazines and Pratiyogita Darpan magazine especially designed for bank exams.

Also to improve vocabulary try to speak in english with your friends and inculcate a habit of learning 10 words daily fro any GRE preparation book. You can read newspapers in a silent voice and find out the meaning of unknown words and write them and remember them.
