Actually people make fun of BDS degree.just follow straight line ...if u want to be dentist then do BDS ,if wan to go in teaching line do MDS..This is a self employment professional degree. well i cn understand this is due to privatization in education..nw u have to help urself..those BDS graduates who r nt interested in dentistry if ve money try to open dental hospital.or the d best way know ur hobby /interest .change ur profession asap.. dont look for job in india ,even an sweeper get more salary than bds its true ... this is indian DCI. OR unite together fight for justice .... |

Ideally,what will be the salary package for an BDS & MDS professional in India? does a BDS professional gets a job as a dentist in multi-specialty hospitals easily or do they need to do any additional courses apart from these to get a job into multi-specialty hospitals? After BDS you will get jobs in pharmaceuticals industry, government hospital or private hospital wherein dentistry is becoming increasingly important, no other jobs you will get after BDS........ |

SO i can understand how this questions came about, if anyone has done a BDS and is working in a completely different field plz share ur experience. PS; I'm a 3rd yr dental student |

You have done your graduation with BDS so this is specialized for dentist. but you can do other jobs so please tell me what type of job you can do after BDS. If you can do then you can do any other diploma in Computer and entering in computer field. but according to me you can do your job with dentist your profession is not ti do other job. |

MDS after BDS will provide lot of opportunities.Besides the job of dentist you can opt teaching.MBA in pharmacy is another option.Running his/her own clinic is another option.Career opportunities are available in pharmaceutical industries,research centers,clinics etc.They can even enter government service by passing the PSC exam.The BDS candidates can also move to army or navy where the post will start as a captain. |

Re: After BDS can I get any other job besides Dentist? job in pharmaceuticals industry? sorry friend.you can can do in pharmaceutical industry..there is a professional pharmacy course called B.Pharmacy,diploma in pharmacy...you must study these...the pharmaceuticals means in that course how much of different drugs must be used in different proportions.it is complicated and dedicated one..it is easy to enter pharmaceutical companies with out bachelor's degree in pharmacy either diploma in pharmacy. |
