Eligibility criteria for IFS: >>The candidate should be complete the degree from recognized university. >>The candidate age should between 21 to 30 yrs. >>The candidate To appear in IFS Examination candidate need to be a medically fit in all the respects. there is no particular physical fitness for IFS but check your physical fitness by Running 2.5kms in 15min push ups , pull ups - 20 situps -20 rope climbing 3 meters min. The candidate age should between 21 to 30 years. Upper age limit is relaxed for lower caste candidates. The candidate appear in Indian Forest Service Examination You need to be medically fit In all the respects. Number of Attempts :- -General candidates only 4 attempts are permissible. -SC/ST candidates there is no limits in number of attempts. -O.B.C candidates there Only 7 attempts are permissible. Physical Requirement :: Height:- -Minimum height required for men is 165 cm -Minimum height required for women is 150 cm -There is a relaxation in height for SC/ST,OBC Ear :- -Good listening & normal ear cavity. -1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment shd not be more than 30 decibels. Eye sight – -6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. -Near vision J1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. -The correction by lenses only. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic. Examination Pattern :: ~~The examination contains both objective and subjective type questions. ~~English, Technical questions and General Awareness questions are very important. In addition to this, candidates should select two optional subjects also. Optional subjects include Forestry, Agriculture, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Agricultural, Mechanical and Civil Engineering Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science.
