Chartered Accountancy is primarily about accounting, auditing and taxation. A Chartered Accountant is trained in various aspects of finance and accounting. A CA helps companies and individuals in tax planing and compliance. The course of Chartered Accountancy can be pursed in India only from ICAI(Institute of Chartered Accountants). Re: List of Institutions in India offering CA program after completion of 12th class? There is only one institution in India that conducts Chartered Accountant Course. The institute name is INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED ACCOUNTS OF INDIA. The regional offices of ICAI, are in Mumbai (Western office) Kolkata (Eastern office) Kanpur (Central office) New Delhi (Northern office) Chennai (Southern office) The CA course is a correspondence course and not a regular classroom course. You can do the course from anywhere. You have to register for the course and apply for the exams as per your eligibility. You will be required to qualify each level so as to raise yourself to the upper levels of the course. The Chartered Accountant Course comprises of -Competence Proficiency Test (CPT) -Integrated Proficiency Competence Course (IPCC) -Final Course One can apply for CPT after 12th. After passing CPT you can get admission in IPCC. The IPCC examination consist of two exams (Group-I and Group-II). If you qualify Group-I exam only and don't proceed further then you will get Account Technician Certificate after one 1 year work experience. If you wish to complete the course then you will have to complete 3 year Articleship training under a certified CA. You can appear for Group-II exam of IPCC during the articleship training too. After passing Group-II exam of IPCC you can apply for Final course. The final examination can be written in the last 6 months of the training period.
