I was given a serial number 660 and study material but so far i have not received registration details. As I have to appear for CA-CPT in June 2012, please let me know whom I should contact? I have received study material from Hyderabad office. I want to appear for the exam. in June 2012. So far I have not received my registration from ICAI Hyderabad/Chennai. CPT is an objective type test to which is conducted 2 times in a year generally in the month of June and December. It is open only to those students who are already registered with the[B] Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The questions asked in the examination are based on following subjects :: Accounting Mercantile Laws General Economics Quantitative Aptitude. It is divided in two session of 2 hours each and the examination is of total 200 marks . Examinations can be written either in ENGLISH or HINDI medium.Online examinations can be written only in ENGLISH Important dates :: Sale of application form starts from ::4th April, 2012 (10.00 hrs) Last date to received the form is :: to 25thApril, 2012 (17.30 hrs) CPT Paper- Pencil Mode will be held on Sunday, 17thJune, 2012 Procedure to apply for the examination :: You can obtain the form from the :: Additional Secretary The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ICAI Bhawan, Indraprastha Marg New Delhi – 110 002 on payment of Rs. 1000/- . CPT Exam is held twice a year in the month of June and December and the next CPT Exam June 2012 Attempt is scheduled to be held on Sunday, 17th June 2012. The CPT Exam June 2012 Attempt would consist of 4 Papers scheduled to be conducted in 2 Sessions of 2 Papers at the following timings Particulars First Session ( Subjects Fundament Merc Please Note: The CPT Exemption for Graduates from appearing for CPT has not yet been passed by the Govt. and all students interested in pursuing the CA Course have to mandatorily go through the CPT Route to become a Chartered Accountant. CPT Exam Form The Exam Form for CPT Exam June 2012 Attempt would be available from 4th April 2012 and the last date of submission of the same is 25th April 2012. All Students who have appeared/cleared Class XII Exams and have applied for CPT Registration with ICAI on or before 4th April 2012 are eligible to apply for CPT Exam June 2012 Attempt. Students desirous of appearing for CPT Exam June 2012 Attempt are required to obtain the Exam Form from the various branches of ICAI on payment of Rs.1000 (Rs. 500 towards Examination Fee and Rs. 500 for the cost of the Exam Form) Students interested of appearing for CPT Exam June 2012 Attempt can also apply for the same online. Students availing the facility for submitting the Exam Form online only need to pay Rs. 500 towards the Examination Fees. They are exempted from paying Rs. 500 for the Cost of the Exam Form and thus Students availing the facility for online submission of Exam Form can avail an exemption from paying Rs. 500 towards the Cost of the Exam Form.
