AFTER GRADUATION, MECHANICAL ENGINEERING CANDIDATES CAN APPLY FOR CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION & INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE EXAMINATION.BESIDES THAT THEY CAN ALSO APPLY FOR C.D.S. , CPF(AC) EXAMINATION.
ALL THESE EXAMINATIONS ARE CONDUCTED BY U.P.S.C.
BY APPLYING IN THESE EXAMINATIONS THEY CAN ABLE TO GET RECRUITED UNDER GOVT. JOBS/INDIAN RAILWAYS JOB.

CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION ELIGIBILITY:-

Educational Qualification:-
-You must be a graduate from recognized university.
-Candidates completed their graduation from technical / professional courses are also eligible to apply.
-Final year candidate can also apply for the exam.
-Only passing mark is enough to appear in the exam.

-You must be Indian citizen.
Age limit:-
-Age limit is 21-30 years .
-For SC/ST 5 YEARS of age relaxation is available.
-For O.B.C. 3 years of age relaxation is available.
Number of attempts:-
-Number of attempts for open category is 4 & O.B.C. is 7 & unlimited for SC/ST candidates.

For offline mode go to your nearest designated post office,purchase application form,
fill up all details correctly & then send to the mentioned address.

EXAM PATTERN:-
--PRELIMINARY EXAM
--MAIN EXAM
--INTERVIEW

ELIGIBILITY FOR INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE EXAM:-

Age Criteria :-
-- Your age should not be less than 21 years & should not be more than 30 years
-- The Upper age limit is relaxed to SC,ST & O.B.C. candidates.
-- For SC/ST candidates 5 years of age relaxation is available. i.e. age limit is 21-35 years
-- For O.B.C candidates 3 years of age relaxation is given i.e. age limit is 21-33 years

Educational qualification:-
You must have completed your engineering with following streams.
--Civil Engineering
--Electrical Engineering
--Mechanical engineering.
--Electronics and Communication Engineering

You must be physically fit for applying for the post.

You must be Indian citizen.

Number of attempts:-
--4 for open category
--7 for O.B.C(Other Backward Class)
--Unlimited for SC/ST candidates

HI,
You want to become I.A.S officer then you have to qualify the I.A.S Exam.
I.A.S Exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

U.P.S.C include other post also like I.P.S, I.F.S etc.

I.A.S Exam consist of 3 stage:-
> PRELIMINARY EXAM
> MAIN EXAM
> INTERVIEW

In main exam you have to chose any to optional subject.

The list of optional subject are:-

Mechanical Engineering

YOu can appear Indian Engineer Service,Indian Forest Service and many services conducted by UPSC.

If you want to appear for civil exam then you should apply for UPSC.
