i am going to take admission in ajk university muzafrabad in geology i want to say that is there is a good job for me in pakistan after 4 or 6 year i really dont know the scope of it can u guide me sir in a good manner thanx

There is a high worldwide demand of Geologists.

The scope is very high.

These industries demand geologists and pay them high packages also.

Mining

Oil Exploration

Gas exploration

Petroleum

Construction

Environmental Engineering

These companies are hiring geologists in India.

Essar Oil

Cairn Energy

Adani Industries

ONGC

Shell Industries

SAIL etc.

There is a different recruitment procedure in private and public companies.

im a student of geology doing my u.g degree my sub combination are geology,chemistry&botany .wat specific course i can continue after graduation? Actually i want 2 goin NASA..

After completing masters in Geology i.e., M.Sc./M.Sc.(Tech.)/Integrated M.Sc.(5 year course) in Geology
the career options related to this field, are as under;

-} You can join any company that is somehow related with Mining or Oil Industry.
This domain only includes the highest number (or say more than 75%) of jobs available
for Geologists.

In India you can join following major companies;
Government
ONGC, GSPC, IOCL, OIL etc. (Petroleum Industries)
SAIL, CIL, HCL(Hindustan Copper Ltd.), NMDC etc. (All Mining Industries)

Private
Tata Steel, JSPL, JSW, Monnet Ispat & Energy Ltd, Essar Steel, Reliance Power
(There is a huge no. of Iron, power and other metal industry in India and all major
companies do have their own mines, so Geologists are recruited for Mine Planning,
Sampling and other Geo studies in this regard),

Reliance Industries, Essar Oil, Geoinfo
etc. (Operating in Crude Oil)

Foreign MNCs
BHP Billiton, Rio-Tinto, CAIRN Energy, Shell, Schlumberger and many more companies
around the globe.

-} You can get first class central Govt. job by appearing for Geologists Examination
conducted by UPSC.

-} You can pursue higher studies and go into teaching field.

-} With 5-10 years of work experience or research work, you can work as an
independent consultant for Mine Planning and Drilling.

what is the scope of geology? please provide me good information. i want to undertake my further studies in this course.
