ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR I.P.S STUDENT:-

Educational Qualification:-


A candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Botany, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry,
Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Geology, Statistics and Zoology Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

Age limit:-
The age of the candidate must not be less than 21 years & must not be more than 30 years.
For lower caste candidates Upper age limit is some what relaxed.
For SC/ST candidates 5 years of relaxation, For O.B.C. candidates 3 years of relaxation are given.

Number of Attempts
Four attempts for open category,
Seven for O.B.C candidates
Unlimited for SC/ST candidates

STRATEGY TO CRACK EXAM:-

--IPS Exam is a competitive entrance examination.

--So, thorough preparation is needed for success.

--You must have a strong determination to study hard for getting success.

--Different coaching centers are available for IPS exam.

--Besides guidelines, these centers also provide study materials/reference books to crack in the exam.

--Practice Previous Years Question Papers.

--Manage your time & go through the syllabus in detail.

You want to serve the nation, which is really appreciable.
And of course, you can apply for the IAS\IPS examinations.
You can appear for the civil service examination after graduation in any stream.
In order to become a IPS [INDIAN POLICE SERVICE] officer, you must have to clear civil service examination, which is conducted by the UPSC [UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION].

This civil service examination has three stages -
1. pre/CSAT[CIVIL SERVICE ATTITUDE TEST]
2. MAINS
3. INTERVIEW [PERSONALITY TEST]

CSAT exam pattern-



25 optional subjects at CSAT-



Educational requirement-

A graduation degree from a recognized college in any steam.

Age-limit-

21-30 years for the GENERAL CANDIDATES
21-33 years for the OBC CANDIDATES,
21-35 years for the SC\ST candidates..

Physical requirements-



No. of attempts-

4 for general candidates,
7 for the OBC candidates,
no such restriction for the SC\ST candidates.

IPS-INDIAN POLICE SERVICE to became an IPS officer you have to crack Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC every year.

One must be a graduate from any stream within an age group of 21 to 30 years of age can appear for Civil Service Exam so as you are from Commerce stream after graduation you can apply for Civil Service Exam the selection process is through three phases:-

CAST - Preliminary exam
Main exam
Personal Interview

The notification for Civil Service Exam is yet to be declared for 2012 so be updated with the official web site of UPSC www.upsc.gov.in

yes it is possible to select IAS, IPS exam after completing any graduation..
but you should have following things
1.nationality should be indian
2.age above 18 years
3.completing any degree
there are 3 phases to crack IAS exam
1.preiliminary exam- based on general knowledge
2.easy writing -based on your interesting subject
3.interview

IPS - INDIAN POLICE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer you should be a graduate from any stream within the age group of 21 to 30 years of age which the upper age limit is relaxed for reserved candidate and can eligible to appear for Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every years for various administrative services under Govt. of India including IPS.

You are a Commerce graduate hence you are eligible to appear for Civil Service Exam, the selection is through three phases:-

CSAT - Preliminary exam
Main Exam
Personal Interview

The notification for Civil Service Exam 2012 is yet to be announced hence stay updated with the official web site of UPSC i.e. www.upsc.gov.in in order to get update information regarding examination.

IPS Stands for Indian Police Services and to become IPS Officer you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognised University, Final year appearing candidates are also apply for UPSC Civil services examination.

This examination is Conducted by UPSC Every year in 2 stages, Preliminary (Objective) Paper and Main examination.

Firstly, you have to cracked the Preliminary examination paper and there are 2 papers in this examination and you have to cracked this examination first only then you are eligible to appear for Main examination.

Main examination is Descriptive and there are 9 Papers in this examination.

Those who cracked Both these examination are eligible to appear for Final Interview.

To apply for this examination your must have completed your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognised University and your age should between 21 to 30 Years.

So, if your graduation is complete then please wait for the Notification.

The Notification will be Published on 04/Feb/2012 and Last date of apply for this examination Online 05/March/2012

Preliminary examination Date : 20/May/2012.
