Re: Difference between Information Technology and Computer Engineering?

Computer science refers to the processes used to create usable computer programs and applicationstogether with all theory behind those processes. Information technology on the other hand refers to the application of computer programs to solve business processes. It is the application of technology in business. Information technology is very vast in terms of scale because it is applied virtually to any type of process that may require automation, from business, scientificresearch to the music industry, telecoms and banking.

you can get scholarship because your % are god enough.
but it depends upon the colleges whether you'll get scholarship or not.

Re: Difference between Information Technology and Computer Engineering?

Dear friend,
There is very little difference but the difference is only theoretical,it is CSE is "how tow to build a product and IT thinks which product is to be choose among a list of product"
But in working life there is no difference.

Both branches are almost similar in engineering. The courses in engineering

course are also very similar.Only 1-2 subjects are different in per semister.

The main diffrence between both of them is computer engineer have the

knowledge about hardware as well as software and the other one IT engineer

have the knowledge about software only. Its the main diffrence.

IT engineer work with database, networking where computer engineer are

known as programmer.

As future preference computer engineer have more scope as compare to IT

engineer.

I hope you get your answer and you will satisfy by my answer.

Re: Difference between Information Technology and Computer Engineering?

There is not a huge difference between the IT & computer engineering. In a laymans language we can say that information technology is the latest version of computer science.

But to make it more clear we can say that IT includes Networking, Database, web and programming languages etc.where as in CS the main concentraion is on Programming languages and Architecture and design.

The basic difference is that computer science is a core branch & IT a specialized branch
IT professionals are software professionals who are expertise for automation.
