Re: Can management degree boost my engineering career to new heights? Hi All, I have completed my B.tech in electronics and communication and then completed MBA in HR and IT. Like every one said that b.tech MBA is very good combination and there will be very good career but i didnt find any change after doing MBA and still i m in a confusion which field have to choose and which one will be good. Could some one help me out in this. Waiting for the replies Thank you |

Simple mantra is Earn money and live fast - MBA Earn respect and live peacefully - MTECH Along with this, BTECH people who have done MBA in IIM's are earning 11-12 lacks for a month. But inorder to join IIM's through CAT exam wil be the toughest exam. Nowdays Btech (IT) and then MBA are in very good demand. All the best |

HELLO,mba is an sure field in which you can groom your future with mnc's. you can go for mba honours.which is an remarkable field for supporting your engineering degree.as you have asked about cat so as you know that cat is an prestigious exam in nur country.for cat you can join the coaching classes if you want.but if you want to prepare at home then call for the corresponding courses for cat preparation.cat conducts online every year in the month of october to november.online exam is for 2.30hr.in which questions asked from data interpretation & logical reasoning ,quantitative analysis,verbal ability & comprehensive.for every paper you have to get qualifying marks,for every question there are 5 options.for every correct answer you got 4 marks,& for wrong answer 1/4 mark of your score will be deducted.for more information you can logon at www.catiim.in OK,BEST OF LUCK. |

The Management degree will definately gives you boost and make your future bright. So, please do MBA from reputed colleges and before doing MBA, firstly crack the CAT exams. After crack CAT exams, you will definately get a good MBA colleges. So, just go for coaching classes for CAT exams. If you really wants to cracvk this exams. AFter doing MBA, you will get a good salary pacakage. So please do MBA from finance, marketing, construction management Or from International business. After completing MBA, you will definately get a sucess in your life....... |

Dear friend, nowadays everyone, both from engineering as well as science groups, are doing mba. i would advice you to stick to core as this will help you in reaching greater heights in career. if you wish to do mba, then you can choose finance or hr. try to get into IIM as it is not worth getting a mba degree in any other institution ok |

From a professional to a person who has control over the professionals. Many CEO's are Engineers with MBA studied. Choosing the field is also important as there are many to choose such as finance,marketing,accounts etc., CAT exams for doing MBA in IIMs is the best option in India.TIMES is the best institute helping to clear CAT. |

There are various specialised fields in mba for an engineer,like-IT management,marketing,supply chain management,construction management etc. Since,you are a engineer,you will not face much problem in cracking CAT,one of better way for it is to join a good coaching for it like-T.I.M.E. , ERUDITE etc. They will guide you in a proper way,how to crack CAT etc.because cat is not a one day chapter,so that i will give you some tips and you will be able to crack it. Re: Can management degree boost my engineering career to new heights? once you start ascending the echelons of career, your job content will be more managerial and less operational.so, if you have a management degree you can utilise those managerial skills for obtaining better both personal productivity and those whose life you affect.... if you are working analyse your strength and decide whether you are interested in managing finances or sales/distribution or operations or administration or want to do something on your own(enterpreneurship) for this end to become true, you better join a good coaching institute like TIMES,career launcher or IMS,so that you cant not only get training but compare yourself with performance of your peers. |

Re: Can management degree boost my engineering career to new heights? yes definitely mba does makes a degree special and not only engineering degree..... but it fells odd if some one does mba after b.tech......although it is beneficial......but if he would have done m.tech from his field then he could have gained some thing from his engineering degree..... if one wanted to do mba then he could have gone for other degree for a shorter time.... |
