Re: Major difference between IES and other competitive exams pattern? hi...the the indian engineering services exam is conducted for three days and the general pattern of the examination is as follows taking civil engineering as example) Section I- OBJECTIVE PAPERS: General Ability Test 2 hrs 200 MARKS (Part A: General English) (Part B: General Studies) Civil Engineering - 2 hrs 200 MARKS Paper I Civil Engineering - 2 hrs 200 MARKS Paper II Section II-CONVENTIONAL PAPERS Civil Engineering - 3 hrs 200MARKS Paper I Civil Engineering - 3 hrs 200MARKS So you can see that there are ,many papers to answer in this exam and hence every part from the syllabus is covered which is not the case with many other examinations like the gate or public sector companies |

Re: Major difference between IES and other competitive exams pattern? Dear freind, IES exam stands for indian engineering service.Through these exam you get engineering post in Governemnt body. Eligibilty creteria for these exam should be: *Must be graduate from engineering feild *Must aggregate of 50% in graduation. Pattern of exam is totally objective question paper. Syllabus for these exam is whatever you learn in your engineering graduation. So now you compare these to other competive exam about which you are talking. you must specify other competative exam. |
