HI,
If you want to take admissions in top college you have to qualify the exam like AI.E.E.E.

A.I.E.E.E is conducted by C.B.S.E once in a yer.

It is a all India level exam.

After qualifying this exam you can take admissions in any govt college in India.

eligibility criteria:-
> pass 12th with minimum 50% marks(45% for ST/SC) from recognized university or board.
> age should be above 17year.
> Must be citizen of India.

Re: Eligibility for B.Tech after 48.7% in PCM and 33 marks in Maths?

Hi

B.Tech is the course, which is technical and it is a 4 year regular program. But in India there are some eligibility conditions which need to be met, in order to take up this course.

ELIGIBILITY FOR B.Tech :

A candidate should have scored a minimum 60% in aggregate (80% for BITS) and in some colleges, even scoring 60 marks in each of the science subject to study this course.

Also only the science streamed students can study B.Tech. Arts and Commerce Students are not eligible to take this up.

Now coming to your case, as you say you scored 48.7% and 33 in Maths, even being a SC/ST you are not eligible to study B.Tech as the relaxation of 10% is given ie. minimum 50% one needs to score.

But still you are out of the criteria, so I am really sorry to say that it is very difficult for you to get admission in any good or renowned college.
However try in the private universities. They may take some good money, but give you the course you want to study.

All the best

Regards

Re: Eligibility for B.Tech after 48.7% in PCM and 33 marks in Maths?

Since your overall score is above 55% you can apply for the test. But your PCM score is less. Most institutes need at least 50% in this subject. You must score very high in the entrance exam. But looking at the score it is advisable for you to select the subjects based on your interest.
