Re: Job opportunities after Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from NIPER

There is no scope for pharmacy education in india. With in 4-5 years the word pharmacy is eradicated from the indian
society and indian text books. Now the natural death of pharmacy institutions across the country is going on.I hope
this death rate will increase and further continue in future and it will spread to even reputed universities and those
also in the end stage.please stop praising your profession explain to the future generation that don,t take admission
in pharmacy course otherwise their future will be spoiled and after finishing the course they have to beg on the
streets. Now unemployment rate of m.pharm students is increasing gradually. They started begging on the streets.
please try to realise that there is nothing to learn by studying pharmacy.its just six months training to be practised
in hospital environment to become a trained pharmacist. For this they created large seen and pharmacy course had
been created as" kichidi" course by incorporating other subjects such as physiology, pharmacology ,biochemistry,
microbiology from medical sciences, and physical pharmacy, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical engineering from basic
sciences, kinetics, analysis from applied sciences, pharmachemistry ,medicinal chemistry, organic chemistry from basic
chemistry, forensic pharmacy from law science.overall the pharmacy course become "jack of all trades and master of
none."So please stop the spreding of this pharmacy disease into the community in the form of pharm.D. Its already
collapsed. The collapse had already started and only the death of this profession has to occur.

Dear friend if you are looking for Ph.D then you must have 55% marks in your masters.

You can also go for NET JRF and you can also get good amount of scholarship.

There is a vast scope after Ph.D, you can also apply as a lecturer in different institution and there is also industrial scope.

So its a wonderful choice made by you, keep it up dear.

best of luck

Re: Job opportunities after Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from NIPER

NIPER [National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research] situated in Punjab is a reputed institute in the field of pharmacological research. After completion of Ph.D., there are excellent opportunities in various fields. A Ph.D. degree will entitle you to the post of Junior Scientist in Research and Development Department of Multi-National pharmaceutical company. You are also entitled to the post of Data Manager or Medical Adviser in a Clinical Research Organization that carries out multi-phsic trials on newly discovered drugs to establish their safety before they are released into the market. These posts are heavily sought after. Toxicology is the study of toxins i.e. poisons that are essentially chemical compounds that have adverse effect on human body. An experienced Toxicologist is an asset to the Forensic Science laboratory. With the help of analytical thinking and logical reasoning skills, he is able to ascertain the name of poison due to which the person died and its possible way of entry into the human body. This gives lead to the investigating Police officer in solving unsolved crimes.
