If you want to become a IAS officer you ned to apply for the civil service exam this exam conducted by the UPSC once a year.

ELIGIBILITY:

1.Candidate should complete graduation from a recognized university.

2.Candidate should be a citizen of india.

3.Age limit for this exam 21 to 30 years.

4.Age relaxation for OBC candidates is 3 years.

5.5 years for SC/ST candidates.

SELECTION PROCESS:


1.Preliminary exam

2.Main exam

3.Interview

Hi,

To become a IAS officer you can apply for the civil service examination. The civil service exams conducted by the upsc once in a year.

IAS stands for Indian Adminstration Service.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

the candidate should complete the graduation from a recognized university.

The final year candidates are also eligible.

There is no minimum percentage required.

The age limit should be between 21 to 30 years.

3 years relaxation for OBC candidates

5 years relaxation for sc/st candidates.

The candidate should be physically fit.

The no. Of attempts are

4 for the general category

7 for the OBC category

No limit for the sc/st categories

Hello Friend,

first of all, complete your bachelors degree program in whatever discipline you are pursuing.
After completion of your bachelors degree program, you will be able to write Civil Service Examination; the Entrance examination conducted for recruitment for recruitment of IAS, IPS officers.
This particular examination is conducted by Union public Service Commission and candidates who are among the top scorers in the examination are considered for Officer rank in Indian Administrative Services.

you will have to qualify the first two stages of the Civil Service Examination. Both the stages are written examination. The very first stage of the examination is known as Civil Service Preliminary Examination and comprise of two compulsory papers:
General Studies
Civil Service Aptitude Test

To become an IAS officer you have to first complete your Graduation Degree in Engineering and then you have to appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian Citizen having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University. The candidate should be within the age of 21 to 30 years. There is upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and for OBC candidate up to 3 years.

The selection is of three tire selection:-

Preliminary Exam- CSAT-Civil Service Aptitude Test

Civil Service Main Exam

Personal Interview

As you are now pursing your B.Tech. Engineering studies, you should start preparation for Civil Service exam along with your regular studies. After completing your Graduation you should systematically and rigorously start preparation for Civil Service as per the syllabus prescribed and you may take assistance of any good coaching Institutes for Civil Service Exam. You must prepare for this exam at least one year before you sit for the exam.

you must write, examination conducted for civil services by uppsc every year.
Eligibity is any degree.
As you are doing btech after the completion of fourth year you can apply for it.
Best coaching centres are available in Delhi.

To become an IAS officer you have to apply for the civil service examination. This examination is conducted by the Union Public service commission every year. This exam is conducted for the selection of candidates for the post of IAS or IPS.

A candidate applying for the civil service examination should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university. A candidate having higher qualification are also eligible to apply for the civil service examination. Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply for the civil service examination.

Having a good academic record may be helpful in final selection procedure but in the initial stages, the academic performance is not considered. In order to move on the final stage, i.e. Interview, you will have to qualify the first two stages of the Civil Service Examination. Both the stages are written examination. The very first stage of the examination is known as Civil Service Preliminary Examination and comprise of two compulsory papers:
General Studies
Civil Service Aptitude Test

This stage of the Civil Service Examination is a qualifier stage and the marks obtained in the same is not considered while making the final merit list. However, in order to move on to the next level,i.e. Main Exam, qualifying the Preliminary Examination is mandatory.
Candidates who qualifies the second stage of the written examination, i.e. Main Exam becomes eligible to appear for Interview which is basically a personality test of the candidate.

After completion of all these stages, the final merit list is been made and candidates who have done exceptionally well in the all the stages and having a very good academic record are considered as IAS Officer.
