For technical entry, both Male/Female candidates should be between 18-28 Years and have acquired four year degree qualification from a recognized University. Air Force Common Admission Test or AFCAT is by far the biggest exam conducted for entry into the IAF. Candidates after appearing for the written test has to undergo (AFSB)SSB . The written test is same for all the candidates irrespective of the Branch Applied i.e. Flying, Technical or Ground Duties. For joining the Indian Navy, there are various patterns for entry in the Indian Navy. Minimum eligibility level for entering the Indian Navy as an Officer is class 12. On completion of Class 10, you may also enter but as non officer basis. You can opt for the Graduate Special Entry (Permanent Commission) and eligibility should be B.E and age should be between 19-22 years. |

For apply in the INDIAN NAVAL & AIR FORCE, you must have to be a science student with the two compulsory subjects of MATHS & PHYSICS . Also you must have to score at least 60% in 12th. So, you can only apply for the IMA Through NDA EXAMINATION,one can apply for the Indian Military Academy (IMA) , INDIAN AIR FORCE (IAF) & NAVAL ACADEMY (NA).This NDA examination is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) for twice in a year. As the minimum educational requirement for apply in the NDA exam is a 12th degree from a recognized college. But you can not apply for the INDIAN NAVAL ACADEMY & INDIAN AIR FORCE, because, you are a commerce student,. . The Selection Procedure - 1. WRITTEN TEST 2. SSB 3. PHYSICAL TEST WRITTEN TEST & SSB SYLLABUS--   PHYSICAL STANDARD--  The age limit-- The age limit for this examination is 16.5-19 years. There is not any kind of age relaxation for any reserved category. You must have Indian nationality. You must have marital status unmarried. You must be a male. Eligibility for NDA exam:- For Air Force or Navy:- 1.Candidate must have complete the 12th in science with physics , chemistry and maths.. 2.Candidate must be a citizen of India. 3.Age should be in between 16.5-19 years. As you have completed 12th in commerce field then you will not be eligible to apply for NAVY or AIR FORCE.. After completion of graduation also you can not apply for NAVY or AIR FORCE as you don't have had maths and physics in 12th.. But you can go for Army wing.. Now, you decide what you want. C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year. After qualifying this exam you can start you career in defence sector like:- >> Indian Army >> Indian Air force >> Indian Navy Eligibility criteria:- > Pass graduation with any subject from recognized university > Age limit:-19-24 year > Medically fit There are 3 steps of selection:- -Written exam. -Interview -medical exam. But for the Indian army any stream candidates can apply but then for the air force and the navy only the candidates with the maths and the physics in the 12th board exam as the compulsory subjects can apply ... So as you are in the commerce stream so you can apply for the army only after the 12th board exam ... But then if you do the B.Comm and then you can join the Indian navy and the air force through the CDS conducted by the UPSC and the SSB .... NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY [NDA] Its really good to know that, you are interested in INDIAN NAVY & AIR FORCE.But you are not eligible for the Navy & air force, as you are a commerce student.Not even after graduation in commerce , you will not eligible for Indian navy & air force. After 12th there is a examination, commonly known as NDA [NATIONAL DEFENMCE ACADEMY], conducted by UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION [UPSC]. Through this examination, one can apply in all the combatant branches of the Indian army, i.e. in NAVAL, AIR FORCE & MILITARY BRANCHES.. For appear in this examination, you must have at least a 12th degree from the recognized board,.For apply in naval & air force, you must have Physics & Maths in 12th as your passing subjects , you must have scored at least 60% in 12th,. But since you are a commerce graduate, your opportunities in Navy and Air Force are very. Only those students who have done their science stream can apply for these 2 forces. This is to become an officer. You can opt for Group Y, in the Air men Cadre. You have better options in the Army. So it is recommended that you try your luck in the Army and try to become an Officer in the Indian Army. |

If you are interested in IAF,There will be a 3 branches for IAF. 1.Flying 2.Ground duty 3.Technical After completion of your 12th you will be eligible for Flying. For next 2 branches you will complete your Graduate. If you are interested in NAVY Direct entry to Merchant Navy is also possible - students who have completed their 12th with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) are eligible to join as Deck Cadets and a student holding a bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Technology Engineering could also join the Merchant navy as a Engine Cadet/ Fifth Engineer/ Junior Engineer. Direct entry Deck Cadets are required to undergo basic pre-sea training arranged by the recruiting company itself and the direct entry Engineering cadets are preferred to do a Pre-sea course of 9 months duration in Marine Engineering conducted by the MERI. Eligibility: Passed in 10th and 12th with (PCM) with minimum of 70% marks. Candidate should be unmarried Age limit: 16 to 20 years candidate must have 6/6 eyesightin each eye with or without glasses Minimum Height of the candidate is 157.5 with chest expansion of 5cm. |
